I went to Zanzi Resort with my wife for 10 days. We had such a relaxing time!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the view. Really great about the resort is the privacy we had, staying in our own villa felt so comfortable. We had our own pool and our own garden. Simply amazing! The staff was friendly as well, nothing to complain about. Conclusion: Great holiday

I consider Zanzi Resort as one of those places that are truly relaxing :))The Resort is located about 30 minutes from Stone Town. There are only 7 villas so it is not your usual crowded resort, which is just what I was looking for. We have experience a sense of peace and absolute privacy. Our Villa was of an excellent standard in its furnishings and luxurious comforts. We were right on the edge of the beautiful Indian Ocean - several steps and you are already in the water !!! :))) The tides are wonderful to experience and your private beach yields many forms of sea life, and the coral reef is only 80 meters away from the shore and provides some interesting snorkeling and swimming. The beach is private so you are not bothered by Beach Boys and can relax in privacy. The Hotel offers excursions all around the island, as well as being connected to a very reputable Scuba Diving Operation, with exceptional Dive Sites around the North and East of the island. Overall I would rate this hotel - and our stay - 5/5. Enjoy!

We wanted to stay at Zanziresort only 4 days but finally we enjoyed our best 10 days in Africa. The garden and swimming pool are amazing. Villa is spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated. We loved to enjoy gorgeous sunsets with glass of fresh juice. External gazebo with mosquito net allows to sleep outside. Sound of ocean, smell of night and sky full of stars are unforgettable. Food was lovely and chef Abas had personal approach. SPA is located on the tree among branches of huge tree. We'll certainly be back.

Zanzi Resort opened officially in September, so it's brandnew. This, the discount they offered and the good reviews so far convinced us to give it a try. And we didn't regret it at all!

Zanzi Resort offers a lot of privacy: there are only 7 villas. Each spacious villa has it's own garden, own pool (6x3m) and a beautiful view and direct access to the ocean. The beach is somehow private because at each side of the ressort is an army camp (no trespassing allowed) which also makes it pretty safe...
The food is very good: The lobster we ate the first night was excellent and the chief cook is presenting himself the first day at the villa which is a very nice gesture. The staff in general is very friendly and helpful.
The only tiny negativ point is that they don't provide free bottled water at the villa (only for the first day). This is quite odd because they provide tea and coffee with milk at the villa...
All in all it's a perfect getaway if you like a lot of privacy.
