“Great Family Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Spent a week at Seacliff with my family and loved every second of it. Free Babysitting Service for my 2 kids from 7am - 5pm. Cant wait to go back. Looking forward to those amazing welcome slush drinks.

Spent a week relaxing in this very comfortable hotel after three days in the Masai mara. Had a delux room with whirl pool bath. Sea view rooms looked a little small and only had a shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Glad we stayed all inclusive , but what was included was open to debate, especially the ice cream ! Food was good quality and all areas clean. The hotel pools were great. The beach was small and the sea tidal so swimming in the hotel pools was a must. A super location to relax and unwind.

Room Tip: Delux rooms definitely the best ! Especially if you like a bath

The first four days of our stay on island of Zanzibar were at Seasons Lodge on Pongwe Beach, which we highly recommend for a stay at a private, personal paradise! The next three days were at Sea Cliff Resort & Spa. At Seasons Lodge, we were two of about 12 people enjoying the accommodations of the hotel (it truly is small and private). At Sea Cliff, we were two of at least 150 people, yet we never felt like we were lost in the crowd of vacationers. We received first class attention from the staff, from housekeeping to valet services. We highly recommend renting a kayak to float along the shoreline as well as spending relaxing time on the pier reaching over the waters, especially for the beautiful sunsets. All pools are warm and relaxing - I swam in each one. We visited Stone Town, which was scary, but a trip to the local Spice Farm was a lot of fun. If we go back, I'd do the all-inclusive package as lunch, beverages and snacks added up quickly money-wise. I rated Sleep Quality a little lower as our air conditioning unit was very noisy - kept waking us up all night long. Enjoy your visit!

The stuff stolen my iPhone and htc phone at the hotel, and the client manager was bad at dealing the case. I called the police, and talked to the police. When they were about to search the staff rooms ,one of the staff turned my phones out. My phones are all wet, screen is not working, sounds is not working, and I missed my flight. I would not recommend u stay here, unless u want to lost your valuables

We stayed for two weeks in February 2013 and thought the hotel was excellent. It was our first trip to Zanzibar so were unsure what to expect. We were not disappointed. The hotel is set in really beautiful gardens with wonderful shrubs and flowers and all kept immaculately, as was the restaurant and bars. The staff were always attentive and never failed to serve quickly. The food was just the best. Lots of variety, well cooked, delicious and often lobster was served, even on the all inclusive. Our room was a superior room and was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The house staff each evening arranged lovely flower arrangements on the bed. We loved walking out on the pier and jumping into the sea or taking out the catamaran and the private beach just a few minutes walk was great. A lovely sandy small beach set out with beach beds and umbrellas, a bar, an open lounge area and loos. The management team with Kerry, Maggie and Dean were amazing and make sure that everything is run smoothly and efficiently. A brilliant team and we cannot wait to visit again.

It took me a while to find out a good hotel in Zanzibar. Eventually i found the one i was looking for. Awesome facilities and an infinity pool to die for. Spent my most of the days in the pool splashing water and over water deck in front of the pool. Sunset view from the pool is astonishing. Excellent in recreational activities starting from Water Sports such as canoe or kayak. Also good tennis courts. One of the best thing that i enjoyed the most was Horse Riding. Never expected to have an horse riding experience in zanzibar. However Gareth and Rosa made the same so good and memorable one.It was my first ever experience and would cherish forever. the early morning sun and ride with Nottingham in the bushes and then on the beach with horses splashing water in the ocean was a perfect start to the day. Wish i could have enjoyed more.

We stayed here after spending six nights on safari in Kenya, so most of the days we were relaxing. There was a free shuttle bus to Stone Town which we never used. We had booked a superior room through Kuoni and upon our arrival we were upgraded to a deluxe room (113). It was a beautiful room with two balconies overlooking the sea and a very large bathroom where you could lay in the bath and watch the sunset. Each evening the mosquito net was drawn around the bed and the room sprayed. The weather was hot during our stay and we were grateful for the complimentary bottles of water left in the fridge in our room each day.

Breakfast and Dinner was buffet style with some dished prepared for you while you wait. The evening buffets were themed and we found it strange that the American evening never served chips with the hamburgers !! There was a salad bar together with soup for starters and plenty of desserts to choose from.

The restaurant staff were very friendly but we found some didn’t understand English very well.

The Bar prices were reasonable for a glass of wine ($6) and bottle of soda ($2)

We used the spa once and the staff were pleasant and experienced. It was a good hour to spend being pampered with prices being on a par with back home.

Room Tip: Deluxe Room 113 is a good location and situated on the corner
