“Impressive place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

Large property with clean fresh room -5 star standard. Lovely food and friendly staff. Entertainment is limited on some days. Best sunset in Zanzibar. They have a personal pier and a lovely place to relax and watch the sunset

Room Tip: Most rooms have a sea view. Best room 412 and 512

“On the Road to Zanzibar Oct 2012”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Sea Cliff Resort & Spa is an incredible resort....so much more than shown in their website. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the property is designed to follow the curve of the sea. It has the feel of a small boutique hotel but as one explores there is a new discovery at ever turn. The common areas have an Arabian flair with the restaurant having indoor as well as outdoor seating.

We are here for five nights with a tour group going on safari. A perfect place for R & R after a long flight and before a safari. I would recommend for families, couples, business meetings...anyone who enjoys a serene setting with plenty of amenities....nice play area for children with small climbing wall and trampoline, horses for riding, bicycles, racket ball or handball court, tennis courts, pool tables, two swimming pools, jacuzzi, state of the art work out area and a spa for massage and other treatments.

The rooms are beautiful, the food is delicious and plentiful and the staff is happy to serve you and very friendly. If you are looking for an exceptional beach resort in Zanzibar...look no further!

Room Tip: Very room 'must' have a beautiful view due to the design of the hotel. All have patios or ba...

“BFF Birthday Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

We had a really great time, the hospitality the service from both staff and management was indescibable. My BFF had the time of her life it was her 40th birthday and every day was so so special, thanks to the staff. The rooms were lovely but outdoors was great, great dinning facilities great pier and infinity pool, lovely spar, bicycle rides, pool playing, evening entertainment and so much more, you will find yourself completely overwelmed by good service all the time. The service was just too too much we literally had to ask the guys to scale down it was over and obove what we anticipated. Go and have the time of your lives at the Sea Cliff.

“Holiday Bliss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

A fabulours time was had at SEA CLIFF by me and mine. We were greated at the hotel by very friendly and helpful staff as well as a very cooling mango cocktail.

Our room was spacious and clean with a v relaxing atmosphere. TV has a selection of stations to choose from, as well as WiFi. Thank goodness for aircon in such a warm climate.

A good selection of buffet dishes for brekkies and dinner . Each dinner had a different cuisine base, for which the temptation to eat far to much is great. The kitchen is more than accommodating to satisfy patrons with menu requests other than what is on the menu. Live entertainment during dinner on most nights.

Being in such a humid and hot part of the world, we were surprised at how few flying insects there were. The resort is sprayed for flies each week, and the bedrooms each night.

Cannot fault the activities at the resort. Fab gym, lovely squash court. a few pool tables, so one need not book one. Well mannered and looked after horses and ponies. The kayaks and Hobies are a must. dont forget to go for a cycle through the resort and plantations.

The three swimming pools amazing. Spoilt for choice when it comes to where you sit or lounge around the pools as well as which cocktail to choose while relaxing in the sun. The gardens around the resort are amazingly well kept

It's a must to visit the Islands off Stone Town and out towards Sand Isalnd and Safari Blue. Just spend more time snorkeling rather than working on the tan.

Huge thanks to Riaan, Lucinda and Danielle and the staff at SEA CLIFF for making our stay a pleasurable and rememberable one

Room Tip: No better way to wake up than looking out over the sea watching the tides come in or out. Bonus to...

“Zanzibar delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We had a wonderful holiday at Sea Cliff and highly recommend this hotel - the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, from managers to waiters to garden staff. The setting is perfect for stunning sunsets from either the jetty bar or across the beautiful rim top pool. The food is fantastic - buffet dinners with a different theme each evening. It's close to Stone Town and you can take the hotel shuttle into town. It's fairly centrally situated for many of the tours, which helps with the cost of the tours. The inhouse travel rep helped us with booking tours and coordinated setting up groups to reduce costs. We did the Safari Blue tour and highly recommend that, as well as the one to the north of the island to see the turtles and dhow builders. There are lots of activities at the hotel - we played table tennis, billiards, kayaked, swam and there is even a gym to help burn off those rapidly accumulating calories. Had a wonderful back massage at the spa - really good for getting rid of those desk and computer mouse knots! The managers go out of their way to get to know their guests and we were treated to a complimentary bottle of SA wine the one evening - felt very special. We were very sad to leave and would love to go back there. The weather was also perfect - balmy but not too hot with just a few short showers on a couple of the days.

Room Tip: Avoid a room with an interleading door - you may get a noisy couple next door. Upstairs rooms have...
