“Enjoyable visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

We last visited Taita Hills some 12 years ago. Not sure it has changed much since. Stopped in for lunch whilst on Safari and enjoyed a very good lunch. Everywhere is very clean and it is nice to be able to sit out by the pool and enjoy a cold drink. Taita Hills has a genteel feel about it and is a perfectly good spot to enjoy lunch before you head off for more game drives.

Stayed here on the last leg of our 4 day safari, rooms are a good standardand everywhere is spotlessly clean the lounge area has a large central chimney which is great for sitting around having a drink and a chat, the food was the best of all the lodges we stayed, like other reviewers have said the ginger sponge pudding is to die for, overall a great place to stay

Oh, where to start...We stayed here for our 6th anniversary. The reception was good but i expected better though that did not deter me. We got there late afternoon when they had closed the lunch time but the chef made a very good lunch for us. The rest of the meals were really great.

The rooms are really lovely and we were lucky to get a room that faces the waterhole - the animals were so close.

Room Tip: definitely ask for a room that faces the water hole

Spent one night at the lodge. It was so amazing! Very clean, beautiful views, from the lodge and of the lodge, the swimming pool was right near the waterhole where you see plenty of animals just feet away. It was amazing to experience, I can't describe the experience it was unreal.
The staff were very friendly. The rooms were very luxurious, had lovely views. Hairdryers were available from reception, there was a little shop inside the lodge. Food was lovely, drinks were reasonably priced. Tea coffee services within your room. Would defiantly recommend and would return.

Located within Tsavo West this is a great place to stay. We had two nights and were really well looked after by the very friendly staff. Food and drink are excellent with a good selection at both breakfast and dinner. The lodge has its own watering hole which attracts a wide range of animals so close you feel you can almost touch them. The safari itself was amazing and we saw lots of animals including a pair of lions mating and a pride that had just killed a water buffalo. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and come with mosquito nets which are amust.
