A fantastic break in the last week of October. The suites are clean well equipped and well maintaned. We stayed in Antigo3 which is the last of the buildings, I read some of the reviews with trepidation but can only assume that these relate to #1 as 2&3 were superb. The pool is cleaned daily and the staff are friendly and courteous. Lots of security guards around 24 hours a day, don't think they are needed but it is re-assuring.
Make sure that you contact Blinky (email@example.com), she can arrange everything for you, yes she works on a commission, but her prices are better than you will pay locally. She arranged everything from Island tour, fishing sail bot day, and a really good PADI course for a 13 year old.
Don't use the all inclusives, they are far out and you will miss out on so much. A great range of bars and restaurants covering all prices.
The appartments (well #2&3) have a restaurant on the sea wall which is superb, the mostexpensive we found on the island, but still good value, 3 starters, 3 mains (including steak), 1 desert, 2 bottles of wine, 3 cokes plus water for less that £80.
A superb Italian owner who speaks fluent English (and a rugby fan).
The complex includes the old harbour (16th century) which gives the appartments their own lagoon. Pool cleaned daily, water fantastic, a superb winter break. Average temperature 29 degrees. There was rain forecast and boy did it rain (LOL) about 6 drops! The locals stood out in it for the 4-5 seconds it lasted, as usual the Britts moaned.
Also make sure that you visit Tam Tams.
