“Best Prime Rib in St Lawrence County”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

I rarely ever get anything but the prime rib here due to the way they have perfected it. The steak here is my next choice but they have one steak that is covered with sauce and I do not recommend it if your a meat lover. The staff are always welcoming and the atmosphere is nice. They serve a relish tray, fresh bread, and cabbage noodles that I have never had at any other restaurant. The mixed drinks are on the small side but the wine is good. Bring friends and have a great time. Last I knew they do not take credit cards but have an ATM in the restaurant.

“great food”

Sabad's has the best cabbage noodles around. all meals include them as well as a salad and relish cart. Portions are huge. You get 2 pieces of chicken with the chicken parm.

“Still a good choice for the right occasion...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We stopped in over the holiday weekend and they were not busy so we did not need reservations. They did have several large groups reserved for the evening, so we arrived at the right time for available seating. We enjoyed the usual ambiance and the amenities of their garlic rolls, relish tray and cabbage noodles which were a tad drier than previous visits but still good. Our dinners came out hot and were better than most area places would do. The very large shrimp on the Fra Diavalo were overcooked a bit and the broiled haddock was not cooked or served in any liquid - unfortunately it was dry and not as flavorful. Other dishes we've enjoyed in the past were landing nearby and looked as good as in the past. While our experience was a bit off from the reputation, we still recommend Sabad's - just understand it is a bit pricier than other choices in the area, but typically worth it and the wait that sometimes is necessary. Make sure to check if you're concerned about how your entree will be prepared, so that you'll be certain to have expectations met.

“Pearl of the North”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

It has been a long time since we visited Sabads. My wife, some friends and I were visiting from Virginia and were looking for an enjoyable dining experience and we found one there. Food was excellent, service was very good and the atmosphere very fine. Reasonably priced with an excellent selection made for a pleasant evening.

“Always Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

Drove over to Sabads a couple of weeks ago. We hadn't been there in a while although it is only a 35 minute drive. We were greeted warmly by the hostess/owner as we always are and seated in a booth which we prefer. We ordered a pre dinner cocktail and then ordered some calamari as an appetizer to split. We tend to order calamari in every restaurant we are dining just to compare the quality. This calamari was very good - but not great. It was tough which is a sign of overcooking.
We were served the usual relish tray (with a few changes from the last time we were there), garlic knots (not as good as the garlic bread) and cabbage noodles. Salads were fresh, crisp and generous. For my entree I ordered a rare prime rib and my husband ordered clams and linguine. The portions at Sabads are very large and almost impossible for folks on the elderly side (us) to comsume. My prime rib was tender, well seasoned and served as requested, rare. My husband's clams and linquine in a white sauce was generous in quantity with both pasta a clams. There were three fresh clams served along with the garlicy canned clams. He proclaimed them delicious.
We have frequented Sabads often, but seemed to try other places closer to home. We forgot how really good the food is there.
Dinner for two including drinks, tax and tip was $65.00.
