“If you like noise, you'll llike this hotel”

Quality Inn

Clean, well located near the Factory Outlet Mall.

HOWEVER, staff indifferent, the building appears to have no sound proofing whatever. You can clearly hear conversations and televisions from neighboring rooms.

On our visit over President's Day weekend the adjoining room had a jacuzzi that they decided to use at midnight. I was awakened from a sound sleep by the roaring engine of this jacuzzi which went for some 20 - 25 minutes. The noise from this jacuzzi was like a very loud vacuum cleaner. I was unaware that it was the jacuzzi until I told the night manager by phone that there was this noise. He said it was probably the jacuzzi. I was extremely frustrated, I was very tired, it was after midnight. I went to tell the person at the desk - he said that there was nothing he could do, people can take jacuzzi's anytime they like.

Our family members next door were awakened by children running up and down the hallways which echoed through their room as if the door were open.

If you are impervious to noise and you enjoy being treated with total indifference, this is your motel.

“Didn't stay the night!”

Booked this hotel online as part of a one week Toronto/Niagara summer vacation. Wanted to stay at a more popular hotel, but I was talked out of it by my husband, who thought we'd be better off with a cheaper hotel. Big mistake. We were on foot because we arrived by train and they couln't accomodate keeping our luggage before check-in. Room wasn't ready, so they sent us to Denny's which is far enough when you are travelling with younger children on foot. When we got back, they were accomodating some people with rooms, but for some reason, ours still wasn't available. It was really hot, and the kids were upset and cranky. I looked across the street, and saw a glorious looking hotel. I used the payphone to look up the phone-number for the hotel across the street and was immediately booked in. They also were able to keep our luggage in a security-room after check-out the next day, as our train departed in the late afternoon. When I called the Quality Inn to let them know I wouldn't be requiring the room, I was told by the front desk that because I prepaid online, they weren't going to refund my money. I told the clerk that I'd rather lose my $100 than to stay there ---- so when you are booking online, be VERY careful about your hotel choice!

Had a wonderful time, very clean rooms and no noise which was a bonus.Only downfall was there was no fridges in the room so that was a little bothersome to try and keep cold drinks .Other then that i would recommend the stay to anyone, and we will be coming back again. for sure....Thank you..

Nestled in the strip of motels and storefront operations that crowd the Niagara Falls Blvd. gateway to the City of Niagara Falls, NY lies the Quality Inn Niagara. Like the other unassuming businesses that adorn this stretch of road, this Quality Inn exudes ordinariness ... which is entirely appropriate for the venue. Among the motel's best features are the rooms: tastefully decorated, clean and spacious with comfortable beds sporting extra pillows, a thermostat controlled climate control unit and spotless bathroom made just a touch more elegant by high-gloss tiling. The motel staff were terrific and helpful, offering to keep the pool open an extra hour so our daughter could swim. While we didn't use the banquet facilities, there seemed to be ample room (and parking) for the steady stream of guests.

Perhaps because of the focus on the banquet facilities, the Quality Inn Niagara comes up short on a few things for the average traveller. There's no continental breakfast (you get a 10% discount at the restaurant, and the food and service are good, but that still adds $6 to $8 per person to your stay) and no fitness room. The pool was small (hard to detect that in their flattering website photo), and although indoor, the unheated water was uncomfortably cold for swimming.

There were also a few areas where the motel chose to economise at the expense of its guests. Bulbs were removed from bathroom light fixtures; the bedroom windows had curtains but no sheers (so you got daylight at the expense of being on display to passers by) and the TV remote was a cheap variety with channel up/down instead of numbers. Small things, but the kind of things that cause you to look around for your next trip, just in case you can do better.

In all I'd recommend the Quality Inn Niagara for occasions that need the banquet facilities, such as awards dinners, weddings and such. The general traveller won't be disappointed, but since the Niagara region is well-serviced by most of the big hotel chains, that traveller may find a bit more by looking around.
