“Nice Alternative”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We stayed here over Labor Day Weekend for one night, just to view the falls and visit Seneca Niagara Casino. It is a nice alternative to Seneca Niagara Casino Hotel. You don't have the same view, but it is definitely a nice alternative to the high prices charged at the casino hotel(see my review from Sept. 2011). The entire property was very clean, and it is about a block away from the Seneca Niagara Casino. I know other people have commented about the shady surroundings. It is a depressed area, but they are working on revitalizing the area. There was an ongoing dispute with the Seneca Indians which held up millions of dollars of casino revenue that was promised to the city of Niagara Falls. That was recently settled, and there is a whole lot of money available to improve the surrounding area. Although it does not look very appealing, I don't think the area is really unsafe. Just use common sense as you do in any unfamiliar area. We left the casino and returned to Hampton Inn before dark. The casino hotel is a totally different experience, but for budget minded people, this is a great alternative. As close to falls as casino hotel. Very nice to walk the area in daylight, lots of tourists. Free breakfast was adequate, and I would return again.

Room Tip: No tips. There is really no view from the hotel, only three or four floors.

It's easy drive direct to the hotel when we visited the Niagara Falls. It was a bad timing of the year that we went during May when the snow was just freezing to water in the falls but the only positive was the hotel. Nice rooms, clean and great service at the front desk.
I personally was driving a strect of 6 hour and needed a long sleep and i got it the best room with nice bed to get away my tiresome drive. Next day, got up at 10.30 and by that time, breakfast buffet was closed, i dont remmeber the name but the lady who was cleaning the buffet was so kind to let me in and take some fruits and snacks even though it was written bold, its closed. Thats the kind of service you would expect.
The hotel itself is little away from the falls and probably around 15 mins of walk, if you are looking for something close, you maay want to try another one but this one is best out of no traffic, easy parking, best service, little pricy though. But i will definitel do another time,

I was only passing through Niagara Falls and the staff gave me great recommendations for fun, local food where I could get some local beer and great wings (The Griffon Pub). The next morning, the tourism expert gave me some great pointers so I could take advantage of enjoying Niagara Falls on a tight schedule. I had a great time, the staff was really friendly, and I definitely will go back there when I can actually spend some quality time exploring the Falls.

We wanted to stay close to Niagara Falls during out trip to NY State so I chose a hotel we generally always use, Hampton Inn. We were a bit concerned because the surrounding area of the Niagara did not seem to save especially later at night. We were pleasantly surprised and Hampton Inn proved itself to be fantastic once again. Nice facility. Clean rooms. Ground well cared for in a not so great neighborhood. Secure parking lot. The breakfast spread was awesome. Well worth the cost!

Room Tip: 5th floor was great and quiet.

Nice hotel. Very close to Niagara falls and casino. The only complaint was that you can here the people pretty clear above you. Breakfast was very good a lot of selection. The buffet at the casino is to die for. So good!! Cant believe how run down the town is around beautiful Niagara.

By far the worst Hampton Inn I have EVER stayed. The lobby is just adjacent to the entrance which made check-in seem a bit hectic - people were in line 2 and 3 deep, while everyone and their brother were exiting/entering the building. not a relaxing or calm experience by any means. after checking in - was instructed that the elevator was at the end of the hall, which couldn't have been any more inconvenient. housekeeping carts were in the hall, people were still exiting/entering like it was a fire drill, leaving me to maneuver our luggage down a standard size hallway. the design of this place is nuts. room was fine - quiet. there is a woman who is attempting to sell you on Niagara Falls touristy stuff - avoid her, let's leave it at that. this place needs a revamp to make public spaces bigger; the whole experience felt a little third worldish.

Room Tip: go to Canada. cleaner & better view.

I will recommend if anyone who wants to have a decent room and good price in this hotel, you should just book it online. I have bad experience with staff through their telephone booking. The person who was answering my call has doubled my price for the rooms with smoking and told me to take it or leave it. Later on I book the room through online, I got good rooms with none smoking. On location, the staffs are nice and helpful. The room is clean and they give us an upgrade when I told them my friend just gets married.

Room Tip: never use their telephone booking..ever
