“Disappointing Stay”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

Recently renovated, but carpet & vanity were the only new items, everything else was outdated & broken. We were on the 6th floor, the bathroom had a nice shower stall, but absolutely no water pressure. No micro or fridge. Awoken @ 5am 3 days from garbage trucks emptying dumpsters @ the hotel. Air quality in hallways poor (musty smell). No ice machines on any floors. Shorted on towels everyday. No lights near the bed or couch. No fitness room, it was totally destroyed - the ceiling had caved in. Outside appearance of the hotel was filthy. Huge potholes in parking lot & dirty entrance to the parking garage. The area around the hotel was also dirty and had a lot of boarded up buildings. We would have checked out the next day if our credit card had not already been charged for the full stay.

The place just looked dirty. Duct tape on the carpet for all doors to the rooms. Not even a soap dish in the shower. It gave me flashbacks to the cheap hotels you would stay at prior to getting on post 40 years ago in the army. I will not use days inn again.

Room Tip: spend a little more and enjoy yourself. You won't enjoy it there.

Chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Falls and was not disappointed. Walked 2 blocks to entrance of the park and from there took the shuttle onto Goat Island.
The hotel itself is kind of a dump and even though they tout free parking, it is somewhat limited and was a complete zoo. Upon arrival, I parked in the 10 minute parking just to check in and was told at the front desk, just to leave it there and it would be fine so that's what I did. I knew this was not going to be good when I went to use the bathroom in the lobby and the toilet was backed up so I decide to wait until I got to the room. It was a little scary when there is a sign posted in the elevator to limit the amount of people on the elevator to 5-6 adults for "Safety Reasons" and upon getting to our room you really had to push on the door to get it to open.
The room itself was so-so, really old and outdated with worn carpet and a noisy A/C unit and the "Free WI-FI" did not work well.
We stayed 2 nights and after spending all of the next day at the falls we returned to the room to see that none of the beds had been made but the trash had been emptied and the towels replaced.
Overall spent an average of $150/night Sat & Sun and that was way too much for what you got even being so close to the falls you would be better off staying elsewhere and paying to park ($10) for the day.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on TripAdvisor. We have recently updated all of the rooms with new carpeting and wallpaper so when you stayed you must have been in a room that was not completed yet. Next time you are in the area please stop in and check out the renovations and if your A/C is not functioning properly please alert out front desk so that they may send a maintenance person up to check it out. We look forward to seeing you again sometime.
