We were here for a hockey tournament for my sons team. The tournament required us to stay at one of their contracted hotels. We chose the Days inn because the tournament director told us that they did not have a 2 night minimum stay ( as some of the other hotels did) however we later found out that they were going to enforce a 2 night requirement and it was too late to pick another hotel because they were all sold out. As the team manager handling all the reservations I was very frustrated and embarrassed to tell the team what had happened. Needless to say the hotel lost the business of 7 families who would have stayed for one night, but ended up staying for 0- I guess they didn't need the $800. I know the hotel wasnt booked or even close to it, so this doesn't make any sense to me at all,, but whatever, their loss. I was disappointed after reading all the
negative reviews on line about the hotel. I was also irritated we payed $20 more a night than people walking in off the street even though we booked months ahead and had so many rooms booked in our group!!!
I have to say over all we were comfortable with our visit. The rooms were clean"ish" not filthy, just some stains and dust. The beds and bathrooms were VERY clean. The staff at the hotel was incredibly nice and accommodating with us. They went out of their way to make us happy. The staff at Denny's was also amazing and patient with all the kids and commotion- they even served us at a vacant lounge area next to the restaurant, that was very nice to have a private room!
I would recommend this hotel as it is close to the falls and decent.
Room Tip: Don't not stay near the elevators, others in our group said they could hear everything in the h...
