“Hell on earth”

Fallside Hotel and Conference Center

Jun 16, 2008

Hey friends
Do you want to make your life a hell.... please stay at this hotel and ruin your entire vacation at Niagara. I have never experienced such a worst hotel stay in my life. This hotel smells so bad in hallway and also in rooms too. Bugs all over. No water for drinking, neither as tap-water nor in the vending machine. So, your having money doesn't mean that you will survive for you are thirsty. The elevator makes such a cracking sound that feels like it is going to break now.
And the most worst part is that the employees are very rude and non-cooperative. They don't care even if you die of staying in their hotel. I bet if you can sleep in these rooms.

Guys believe me, don't stay here to make your vacation worst experience. Oh....of course, if you are going for suicide, this is the place I will recommend.

“Wouldn't stay even if it was free”

Fallside Hotel and Conference Center

Jun 9, 2008

We booked our stay on line - the photo's looked good - must have been taken the day they cleaned the place. Ist of all the parking lot was dark and scary. We checked in very late on a friday night - the elevator made such a loud noise that we made sure to use the stairs when we left. I walked into a smelly room - the bathtub had a bug in it and my husband said it was a tick. I pulled the sheets down from the bed and said "We have to leave". The TV looked like it was a leftover from the 60's. We stayed in the room about 90 seconds and walked down to the lobby to cancel our weekend stay. I must say the gentleman at the front desk was so nice and very understanding. He did not even charge us for the night. We immediately turned on our GPS and looked for the closest Marriott. Went to the one across from the Univ of Buffalo and for just $17 more per night, we had a beautiful weekend. It was 20 minutes from the falls, but well worth the ride and the comfort of going to bed without thinking you would be eaten by bugs before you had a chance to wake up for breakfast. You get what you pay for, this place should be shut down! Pay the extra few buck and stay at a Marriott or Hampton INN - I have never had a problem at either of these hotels.

This hotel was dirty, smelled musty, the tv didnt have any volume, the tv looked as if it was from the 1900's. I am very discussed with this hotel. The lounge was suspose to be open and was not. In the description the hotel is close to the falls and casino but nothing else, unless you want to spend and arm and leg at a resturant. Never again would I ever stay at this hotel, and would not reccomend any to stay here.

“Not a good place at all!”

Fallside Hotel and Conference Center

May 10, 2008

We stayed one night in this hotel as part of a two day tour (we therefore didnt get a chance to find out what hotel we were staying in in advance). All i can say is never again!

We arrived at the hotel which had a very drab looking reception area. We walked up the stairwell to our room which was on floor 2 (again - very drab/old corridors and room decor).

Our room was freezing cold as the air conditioning had been set on freezing - after changing the very old air conditioning/heater we managed to warm the place up ok. However, i wasnt looking forward to going to bed. The sheets had old stains on them and the blanket which was laid on top was covered in someone elses hair and looked as though it hadnt been washed for years. I made do with the sheet for the night for fear of what i might catch from the blanket! The beds also looked and felt years old.

In the morning i was more than happy to get out of there as fast as i could. There were ants on the floor in the bathroom and when i attempted to have a shower i couldnt keep the water temperature steady for more than a few seconds.

Finally we went downstairs and paid to eat breakfast as this was our only option on our tour. We were greeted by one girl who was busy trying to seat people, stock up sections of the breakfast bufffet and clear tables all at the same time. When another member of the staff came in we witnessed her being told off for being late and not calling in to let them know where she was. At the buffet itself, the toaster didnt work properly and the milk had run out.

All in all not a pleasant stay and not a hotel i would recomend!

“Could Have Been Worse??”

We checked in very late friday evening, we requested a non-smoking room. The minute we opened the door to our room it smelled so musty it hit you in the face. The room was clean it just looked old & dingy. Our A/C barely even worked! We turned it to high cool & it blew like a small fan. After housekeeping cleaned the next day the smell got worse because now you could smell cleaning product on top of the stench, it reeked so bad; no A/C & can't open the window because its sealed shut. It was like that Seinfeld episode when the vallet parking guy got in the car & the stench attached to everyone who got in afterwards. Not to mention we had black ants in the bathroom on the 2nd floor. The shower went hot & cold in spurts not staying at a consistant temperature. We got up to eat at the Continental Breakfast @ 9:30 & there was nothing there except for some coffee, we could got to the buffet downstairs but we would have to pay. The only good thing I have to say is the location was great, we were within walking distance to the falls, and the staff were very friendly people. We paid $59./night, we got what we paid for: a cheap, smelly, old hotel.
