I'm currenly sitting inside of this hotel, and I'm scared to get inside of the extremely uncomfortable ancient bed. The room had to be moved, because it was FILTHY and the heat didn't work (we're local and we needed to get warm and escape the snowstorm...we have no heat or power, and almost half a million other people don't either. Somehow, the falls wasn't affected).
The second room was still a disaster. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned, the floor wasn't vacuumed, there is hair on the sheets, along with numerous holes, the bathtub is moldy, and there are puke and poo stains on the bathroom wall. I also found a food covered fork next to the bed. We called housekeeping, and one guy came with a bucket and a spraybottle... he didn't accomplish much. The bathroom is still a disgrace.
The front desk woman was overwhelmed, as she was totally alone and had a line of six people in front of her. Needless to say, she can try all she wants, but she won't be able to be friendly and do a good job under those conditions.
Oh, and I can hear EVERYTHING in the surrounding rooms and in the hallway. Also, the hallway smelled like pee, and the walls were visibly caving in and showing water damage.
So, it's either freeze at home, or risk getting scabies. Thanks fallside hotel for making the worst snowstorm in Buffalo in recent years even more unpleasant than it needs to be.
