We stayed at the Howard Johnson at Niagara Falls for two nights in September 2008. Check-in was quick and easy. We stayed in Room 411. Our room was very large with comfortable bed but the décor was a bit tired. The bathroom was clean but they did not provide a spare toilet roll, which seemed rather mean. The room had the usual facilities such as: air conditioning, TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and room safe. The hotel had laundry facilities, which guests could use. Breakfast was included but offered a poor selection of food with no healthy options. They had only plastic cutlery and plastic plates and bowels. The dining area was tiny and we had to take our food back to our room, as there was nowhere to sit. They had a pool and sauna but we did not try them. It is not a smart hotel but was cheap and comfortable and a very good location for sightseeing and very close to the state park and the falls – walkable. Right next to the hotel there was a heli-pad where you could take a helicopter ride over the falls. Also, you could book sightseeing tours from the hotel front desk. The hotel was located in a quiet area. Car parking was free. Check-out was quick and easy.
