Thank You for taking the time to post a review on tripadvisor. Howard Johnson Closest to the
Falls is very happy to accommodate our guests traveling with pets. Our staff really enjoys interacting with our "special guests"; giving them a treat at check in and recognizing they are part of the family. Unfortunately, the casino discontinued it's shuttle service a couple years ago.
We do get many requests for shuttle service and will pass this information to the casino management.

The hotel was outdated and showed its age.
We were on the 3rd floor and the hallway and room had an odor that wouldn't go away, even with the window open. It smelled like smoke and some kind of industrial cleaner.
For the money we could have stayed in a nicer hotel on the Candian side of the Falls and next time probably will.
This room should have been 1/2 the cost, but at this rate I expected better!

Thank You for taking the time to post a review of our Howard Johnson Hotel in Niagara Falls, NY. We pride ourselves in providing clean comfortable rooms at a reasonable rate with friendly service. I am sorry we fell short of our goal and you had a negative experience. Our third floor is the designated smoking floor which accounts for the odor. I have spoken to the maintainence department regarding the odor and we are looking into different ways of controlling it. I understand your concern and will take action to fix the problem. Thank you for your comments as they help us serve our guests better.

Thanks for taking the time to post a comment regarding your stay at our Howard Johnson in Niagara Falls, NY. Our location gives our guests the opportunity to enjoy all Niagara Falls has to offer. We do strive to provide our guests with clean comfortable rooms at a reasonable rate with friendly service. I am sorry we fell short of our goal. We are pet friendly and do require each guest with a pet sign our pet policy. If a dog is barking excessivly the guest is contacted via cell phone and asked to return to the hotel and quite the barking. I am not sure if you contacted the front desk regarding the barking. We wouild have called the owner
immediatly. If you did contact the front desk I apoligize for the barking . It is my hope you will give us another chance if your future travel plans include Niagara Falls. We will do our best to locate a room away from a pet occupied room.
