Great location and great staff - but I cannot think of much else to recommend it.
The hotel has definately seen better days - it's tired and tatty.
The bathroom had an interesting lining around the top of the walls - it did look seriously like mildew - but ever the optimist I prefer to think it was a badly designed wallpaper border.
Beds were old and very creaky. Carpets were so old they would never look clean. Bathroom was old and poorly maintained.
I was surprised breakfast was not thrown in as an enticement for staying here but they obviously fill it up enough without this.
The lock on the door was very flimsy and so we ended up taking all of our valuables with us each day.
I would certainly not recommend this for a single or vulnerable traveller as I would question how safe you are here.
I would not stay at this hotel again and I am very surprised Holiday Inn have not done something to ensure that it is upgraded.

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

No free breakfast here! Rooms are nice but not the coffee pot. Brews one cup at a time. It is in a cabinet and difficult to see. Hotel is near to everything. Walking distance! Hotel needs updating and to rid itself of spider webs in the lobby. All prices are high here!

1 Star because -15 isn't available. The worst experience we ever had in a hotel, but our family had just one night available to spend at Niagara Falls, so we didn't have time to contest every issue with the hotel's management. Check in at the hall of plastic plants went smoothly, but did not prepare us for the shack we paid $200 for. Coffee maker, no coffee pot. Bathroom fan in, but not working. No carpet but laminate flooring, cupped up at edges and very bouncy, as if it had been installed by a high school work crew for free as a class project. Free Wi-Fi!?! The next web page that opens will be the first. Various plumbing parts stacked up on the rim of the tub. What are they for? Do we need them to operate anything? Cute refrigerator; 3 legs? or was it meant to rock violently back and forth inside its cabinet? Need ice? Try the vending machine on the 2nd floor......no, the 3rd floor.....the 4th, 5th.........hey, the 6th floor has ice! Party on Garth!! Oh, and our room had a window!!.....overlooking a rooftop and a wall 3 feet from the window!! As if this hotel isn't packed nearly year round being 2 blocks away from the river side park at Niagara Falls. WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH ALL THEIR PROFITS??? Stay ANYWHERE else and make the drive to the falls; you'll be glad you did!!

Room Tip: Rooms in any other hotel at any price are better.

This is an old hotel that needs urgent remodeling! However is well located very close to the Niagara Falls, good restaurants and the casino. (Avoid gambling in this casino! Slot machines are fixed to pay very small prices. If lucky!)
One day we decided to sleep more and we left our room like at 1 pm. Housekeeping just decided of not cleaning our room that day. I did call to the front desk to have a toilette paper, and I received it one hour later after calling twice!
Staff at the restaurant is very nice even they are very busy during breakfast.
Housekeeping staff use the elevators for guests, carrying large blue carts with laundry. Very uncomfortable!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms at the end of the corridor because housekeeping staff spend a lot of time in that area m...

We stayed at this hotel 5 days checking in on the 28th of July. We chose it based on location to the falls. My husband travels all the time with his job and stays exclusively at Holiday Inns and is a platinum priority club member. Occasionally, we come along with him to check out the areas he travels to. When we got off our flight, my husband called the hotel to inquire about the check in time. He was told at that time, that he had been upgraded to a suite, that they were cleaning rooms, and the suite would be ready in 2 hrs. We drove around and waited until that time. At check in, they gave us a key and it was a regular room. We inquired as to how that happened and were rudely told that they didn't have any suites available. Amazing how 2 hrs time we had a suite for our stay and then it was gone. The beds were the worst beds we have ever slept in at any Holiday Inn throughout the United States. My 15 y.o. daughter even woke up with back pain. (We all know most teenagers can sleep about anywhere and not wake up with pain, lol!) The hotel is beyond dated, the rooms were dirty. Elevators are extremely slow. If you are looking for a hot tub to relax in, you will not find it at this hotel, Although, they do have a pool, my 6 y.o. swam in it one time. The beds were made daily but housekeeping did not leave shampoo, soap, etc. I had to chase them down for that. I left tips for housekeeping daily, which did not matter. My 6'4" husband left for work very early in the mornings while we were there. One morning he was in the shower when he realized there were no towels left by housekeeping. He dried off with the hand towel that we had on the sink! On our last night with the tip money, I requested shampoo, towels and washcloths, which that housekeeper did leave for us,(different housekeeper). She also returned a quick note of thanks. We should have left the day we checked in, but decided to stick it out- not a good choice. I have learned a huge lesson by this and will not stay at a hotel that we are not comfortable in. I couldn't believe they were a Holiday Inn.

This is a great place to stay if in town to visit the falls. We walked everywhere we went. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and recommended a great restaurant just a block away. Rooms are a little old, but for the amount of time in the room, it was fine. Rooms were clean. Priced rather high but that may be due to the area. Would stay here again and would recommend it.

We were booked into here for 3 days for our wedding anniversary so requested a quiet room we were placed in a room with the extractor fans/air conditiong from the kitchen outside the window we were then moved to another room next to the vending area, ice machines and elevator. On the third attempt we were upgraded to a suite above the extractor fans next to the elevator. We paid for the first night and left without staying to go to the Sheraton for less money and higher quality service. The staff tried their best but the hotel needs major refurbishments.
