“Extremely disappointed - stay elsewehre”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for a hockey tournament Nov 1-4. I was surprised at how dingy and dirty the lobby looked. Our room was adequate, however the beds are extremely uncomfortable. Since we were at a hockey tournament we were expecting an increase in the room charge and many kids running around, but what we weren't expecting was Holiday Inn's lack of control of the guests that were causing havoc throughout the hotel very late in the evening hours. I felt bad for anyone staying there that was not a part of the tournament. We were kept up until 2am with older kids running through the hallways banging on doors, calling rooms while their parents were in the common area partying. When I asked for a late check out the next (2hours) I was refused. We had to be up at 5am for a game and we were exhausted. I did not appreciate Holiday Inn's lack of compassion and do not believe they lived up the their quality guarantee. And Holiday Inn's motto of kids eating free apparently doesn't apply when there are a large number of kids staying at the hotel. If our team enters this tournament next year I will not be going if we get assigned the Holiday Inn as our hotel.

Room Tip: I would not stay here during a hockey tournament and be prepared for uncomfortable beds and no carpe...

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback on our hotel. We are genuinely concerned when we receive negative guest comments about our property.
We schedule additional security during hockey tournaments to patrol the hotel floors and common areas. We do our best to keep everybody contained and the noise level down.
It is Holiday Inn’s policy that the kids do not eat free if staying at a group rate. It is a clause that is apart of the IHG group bookings contract. Kids do not eat free with group rates because they are discounted.
Unfortunately, a late check out cannot be permitted to anyone in the tournament. Late check outs are based upon availability. If we allow one room to check out late, then it would only be fair to allow every room in the tournament to check out late. Our staff would not have adequate time to clean and prepare the rooms for 4:00pm check in.
Please be advised that your observations were forwarded to our Guest Service manager and General Manager. We hope you will offer us the opportunity of hosting you again at our hotel in the future and for us to show you how great our hotel truly is.

“Nice hotel, great restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but they are very comfy, the staff great, and the restaurant yummy. My Aussie friend was quite happy with everything, and it was his birthday! It was an easy walk to Goat Island, and the American side of the falls, so it was rather well situated. And we were lucky enough to have a room with a view! Thanks so much!

“My Finest Stay At This Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

The Holiday Inn Niagara Falls has served this guest starting in October,1987 fo my first stay here for Niagara University Alumni Weekend. 25 years later,it has served this Platinum Priority Club guest with tremendous appreciation. Stayed on a gift certificate in room 704. Was a lovely suite with a bedroom and a living area. Has 2 TV sets, refigerator, microwave, a sofa, and a carpeted living area and an allergen proof floor at the entrance.

The strength of this hotel has always been its excellent service, cuisine, management, and housekeeping, My room was ready at 1 p.m. and expertly served by housekeeping. Tina at the Front Desk checked me in with warmth and appreciation for my return business. Mary Greenfield, the Front Office Manager, remembered me from my October, 2009 stay and suggested that I try the pot roast for dinner in their Peppertree Restaurant. It turned out to be a great choice.

The Management Team at this hotel is exceptional. Sharon Hauser, the GM has been here for my 2005-2009 stays, along with one this July.Gayle Nowak, the Asst. GM, Terri MacDonald Gale, the Director Of Sales, and Michelle Spaeth, the Sales Coordinator have worked with me before and will return to the hotel from 1/1/13-1/4/13 because of all of their many efforts for me.

Their Peppertree Restaurant (see separate review) is much better than your average Holiday Inn Restaurant. Their Louisiana Gumbo Soup and Pot Roast were well-served by Dan and Kayla was an exceptional hostess and server as well.

The Holiday Inn Niagara Falls can best be described as a hotel that has always exceeded my expectations. The stay was a tribute to the many employees that have served me well over the years. It was also memorable to see some of the staff dressed up for Halloween as well-they have a tremendous spirit and enthusiasm for the guests. Please find out for yourself how outstanding the Holiday Inn Niagara Falls is by staying there and seeing first hand how caring and supportive a hotel staff can possibly be.

Room Tip: 7th Floor serves as the Priority Club floor. Even numbered rooms have views of the Niagara Rapids.

“Pretty Disappointed!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Walking into the hotel, it looked ok. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms, I would rate a 4 out of a 10. The bathroom was clean but very aged and the shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall. The rooms were pretty dated although we did have a pretty nice TV. I was disappointed in this Holiday Inn.

On the bright side, the restaurant and personnel were very nice! We were convenient to the Falls so we didn't have to drive much except to find additional restaurants. I was surprised at how 'depressed' the US side of the Falls are compared to the Canadian side.

“Awesome experience till now”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

Very clean. Super comfy. Very well decorated and organized. The view frm the room is decent. Bed is hard and comfortable, gr8 furniture, plasma tv, big vanity mirror in room. Much better than most Sheraton and Hiltons I have stayed in.

Wish this was as close as Comfort Inn is to the falls.
