“Location is great, hotel is just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

Definitely great for the location. Walk outside and into the state park next to the falls. We walked everywhere.

We were on the fifth floor and had a jacuzzi king room. The jacuzzi is a small bathtub with tall sides that has jets that you can turn on. We didn't use it. It was the shower too, which we did use, but the water pressure wasn't strong.

We traveled for a week and this room was the worst for cleanliness. We killed a big spider in a corner of the room when we first walked in. The small table still had rice stuck to it from other guests. There was a spider web between the table and one of the chairs so it obviously hadn't been cleaned.

The pillows were more like chunks than pillows. The 'book' said Showtime were some of the channels, but we couldn't get them. Ice machines are only on two floors and one of the machines didn't work.

Breakfast was on the ground floor and was eggs, sausage, coffee, fresh fruit, waffles (to make yourself) and really cold milk.

The front desk staff was very efficient. Security officer in the lobby when we arrived, but didn't see him the next day. Young lady sitting under an umbrella at the entrance to the parking lot to make sure that only customers are parked there.

We could hear the family next door to us as they put their kids to bed and then in the morning as they got ready for the day. I"m sure they could hear our tv.

Room Tip: Hard Rock and TGIF are both within a block of the hotel.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn July 9-12, 2012. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was free, and the location was so convenient that once we parked our car, we did not move it again until the day we left. The beds were firm (okay, a little TOO firm for me, but great for most folks), and the pillows were nice and soft. The rooms were very clean. There was a hot breakfast in the morning, which saved time and let us get right to enjoying the sights. - A note - there are some pushy salespeople that hang out a couple of blocks away. They were trying to sell time shares or some such thing, and we were approached multiple times in the same day. This was in the area of the International Food Court, which is a couple of blocks from the Comfort Inn. As far as dining - Hard Rock Cafe is close by, and so is TGIFridays. I would totally recommend the Comfort Inn to anyone looking for a safe, clean place to stay convenient to the attractions with staff that are ready to go the extra mile.

Perfect location--you can walk to the Falls and the Maid of the Mist. Very short drive to Goat Island and 3 Sisters (or walk, if you're a walker). Easy access to Canada--bring your passport.Lots of shops and places to eat right around the hotel. I would come back here any time and recommend it as #1 choice for the Falls experience. Rooms are nice and big.

The hotel is truly in a great location. We were able to walk everywhere and never used the car. The room was your standard hotel room, it was clean and perfect for our family. We asked for a roll a way which was brought to our room within 10 minutes of asking! The breakfast was very good and the people that worked the breakfast were awesome at their jobs. I am glad after seeing the area that this was the hotel we stayed at. It definitely was not the fanciest but was most certainly the best value!

This was a great hotel. It was right across the street from the falls. Staff was courteous and helpful with everything. We had 27 teens and 7 adults checking in and everything was quick and efficient. Rooms were clean and large enough for 4 people to move around. There is a snack shop in the hotel. Prices were very good considering location. I would have thought it would be much more because of location. Staff gave us the conference room along with cups, plates and napkins to help us feed pizza to everyone. It was a great hotel.

We did not make reservations. We were very limited where we could stay only 2 places in town had rooms. One place was 400.00 after taxes so we decideded not to stay there just for a place to lay our head. This place only had smoking rooms left. Not wanting to stay in a smoking room I was hesitant to stay. They let me go and "smell" the rooms to see if we wanted to stay or pick out the best one for us. They were on the 2nd floor. Right off the elevator the smoke smell was overwhelming but I found a room that did not smell. So we decided to stay. They were super nice at check in and check out. The rooms were standard and a little dated but clean. We were very pleased with the breakfast and they had cereals, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, waffles, juice, breads, eggs, and sausage. They let us leave our car in the parking lot while we explored Niagara even after check out which I thought was fantastic. They are about 500 yards or so to the American falls so super close. We were right next door to a hard rock cafe so we ate dinner there after walking down to look at the falls at night all lit up. The service was excellent and I would stay again. The location could not be beat on the US side. Price was good compared to our other option. Very pleased and Thanks for a great stay at Niagara falls, NY.

Location! Location! Location! No better place to stay in Niagara Falls on the US side! Walk out the back door and across the street at the pedestrian crossing, one way traffic, very easy to cross & you are already at the State Park! Once we, myself, husband & two teen boys, arrived & parked, we didn't get into our vehicle again until we checked out! A short walk, possibly equal to two city blocks, to the Rainbow Bridge to cross into Canada! We walked over the bridge into Canada twice, very enjoyable short walk! The town across the bridge in Canada was so lively & fun, much like we've experienced in Gatlinburg, TN! As opposed to the town on the US side, which was absolutely dead - nothing to offer a family with two teenagers at all except for the State Park, So besides exploring all of the state park, which we thoroughly enjoyed, we spent most of our time in Canada!

Our room was on the 4th floor, we had a limited view of the water, before the falls, but was nice to look at! The room was clean, decent & was very suitable for four of us. The hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good. Nothing special, but we didn't leave hungry. Not enough seating when we were there, but this may not always be a problem. We were visiting during the weekend of the Nik Wallenda Walk over the Falls & I'm guessing this prime location hotel was probably at or near capacity.

We were very happy with our stay here & I'd highly recommend Comfort Inn The Pointe to anyone planning a trip to Niagara Falls!
