My wife and I visited this park as part of our trip to Niagara Falls. It is only about 5 minutes north of the falls. The entire park is free. It is a great place to pack a picnic lunch then hike down into the gorge to see the natural whirlpool. Parking is free, there are restrooms and it is not crowded at all. There are several hiking trails; the one down into the gorge is pretty steep and uneven, but if you have good shoes it is worth the effort. I would make this place as somewhere to visit on the way to old fort niagara and as part of the visit to the falls.
