Booked a room at this hotel while attempting a birthday getaway. What a mistake. My girlfriend & I arrived at the hotel, and check in was quick & pleasant. We arrived in our room, (we paid a lil extra for a rm. w/ a jacuzzi) and it was a bit cold. We turned on the heat and decided to get into the hottub to warm up. As soon as I started ruining the water you could see a film across the entire surface of the water and upon closer inspection, I could see that the tub was totally filthy. You know what a bathtub looks like when it hasn't been cleaned in a while? Yah, it was disgusting. So, I scrubbed down the tub for a while and we proceeded to warm up. After getting out of the tub, we changed into our "lounging" clothes to wind down from the drive. My girlfriend was over by the one bed and noticed that the floor was a little wet on the one side of the bed. We shrugged it off & she went to sit down on top of the bed. I remarked to her that the comforters are often dirty and she got up so I could pull back the covers. Upon doing so, A large swath of vomit was blatantly visible all along the side of the bed. The sheets had apparently been changed, but nothing else. For someone who doesn't cringe very easily, I was absolutely disgusted. It sincerely looked like whoever cleaned the room worked harder at trying to cover this up than they would've if they had just cleaned it up. Needless to say we left in a hurry. The girl at the front was very embarrassed and understanding, as I'm sure she had nothing to do with these inadequacies. We contemplated going to another hotel (a high quality one this time), but were so shook over this whole incident, we made the drive home. I have stayed at Super 8's about a dozen or more times before, with little or no problems until now. However, after this trip, I assure you that I am dedicating every resource I have convincing people not to spend their hard earned dollars at this particular dump. I know mistakes and oversights can happen, and I realize that this is not the Hilton, but as far as I am concerned, there is absolutely NO excuse. Thanks, Super 8 for a memorable birthday trip. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!
