“Olive Garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012 via mobile

Back when Olive Gardden had a few locations in Toronto....I frequently visited the joint atleast 3times a week.

Now that theyre all closed. I always visit the one in Niagara Fall USA when in the area.

I have noticed in the last 2 visits that the food just isnt as good as it use to be.
The garlic bread isnt as buttery and they also took the "garlic" out of the bread.

This visit I ordered the shrimp & scallop lingunie.
What a disappointed. It had 8 small overcooked shrimps and a few very small scallops.
My friend had soup and sandwich and it was great!

The service was EXCELLENT! Our waitress was very polite, friendly and attentive.

One waiter....noticed that my friend's glass of water was almost empty...he brought a full glass without even asking and it wasnt even his table to serve.

We were very surprise that he took the time to do such a thing! Not many servers will do that unless its their own table.

Aside from the mini shrimps & scallops our overall experience was EXCELLENT!!!

“Still A Good Place To Eat At!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

Saw alot of Ontario licence plates in the parking lot and talked to a number of Canadians while we waited for about thirty minutes for a table. My wife went shopping so I waited at our table until she showed up. Despite my drink order being "screwed up" the staff went "above and beyond" the call of duty to fix this problem. Place was very busy but received good customer service. In fact, our server was training another person. Gave good positive feedback to the Manager and told we had one of their better server's. Our tip reflected this good service!

“Good food and Bad service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012 via mobile

If you visit here....be sure to have lots of time on your hands. We were surprised with patrons waiting over half an hour that the service would have been more efficient but that's why there's a wait. Our entrees and drinks were good but the bagged salad not so much. So the Service was do bad in every way: waited 35 mins for our drink order (some drinks were missed), waited 15 minutes for our bill only to send it back for corrections. Basically, it was a 2 hour meal (not by choice) for a 2 course Italian meal.

“First and last time at this location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

Our entiring dining experience was a nightmare. We expected the long (one hour) wait for a table. What we didn't expect was waiting an additional hour for our food, only to have most of it served cold and dry. Our waitress was great for the first half hour and twice told us our food would "be right out" but she then disappeared for the second half hour and we had to ask the manager to check on our meals. When we finally got our food, two meals were sent back and the replacement items were just as bad.
The salad was great, but it didn't have to be heated. The bread was extremely salty. One member of our party received a meal that she was very happy with and it was the stuffed chicken ~ a special of the night.
This is the second bad experience we've had with Olive Garden (two different locations) and are uncertain as to whether or not we'll return.

“Good chain restaurant with Italian theme”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

We arrived at dinner time with no reservations and were seated after a relatively short wait. Our server was efficient and gave the right amout of attention.
We split the melted cheese dip entree and it was wonderful. It was much better with the breadsticks provided at the table instead of the dried out cracker like bread offered with the dip.
One diner had the seasonal soup, the other two had the salad - iceberg and romaine lettuce, oil & vinegar, pickled peppers, olives, and an offer of grated cheese. It was good and fresh if a bit oily.
It turned out the lasagna rollups I ordered were sold out, so I accepted the baked lasagna instead. It was grainy and mediocre. My companions had the chicken alfredo and baked fish. Grated cheese was offered for all. Portions were overly generous and they both took takeaway for next day's lunch. I didn't bother.
I like their wine offerings. Most were offered by the glass 6oz, the split 9oz or the bottle. The split is a nice size for two to split, or if one would like more than a glass, but less than a bottle.
