“Deceivingly Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

It might not come across well on a map or by viewing the outside of the building but this Italian restaurant was well worth the chance we took on it. It was a hidden treasure we really enjoyed with food that was memorable for days. Food was so flavorful with many options to choose from & even the bread & the bowl of beans in olive oil on the table were a pleasant surprise to eat. Place is small so we had to wait a little while to get seated but the staff was gracious & kind. As an appetizer we had the calamari & it was hot and had a good sauce. For dinner the four of us had the Lobster Ravioli that was delicious & had a wonderful sauce with shrimp mixed in, Chicken Parm that was a decent portion with a good sauce, & a menu special Salmon that was slightly smoky in flavor with fresh vegetables. We would definitely return when we go back to Niagara Falls.

“Excellent Italian food hidden away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014

We passed the restaurant on our way to our hotel and the concierge at the hotel told us to give it a try. We walked to the hotel not expecting greatness but we were given greatness. We started with the Calamari Fra diavolo...the calamari was tender and sauce excellent; spicy enough yet not overpowering. The salads were good but its hard to mess up a salad. I had the Spaghetti with squid ink with shrimp and calamari and it was great. Squid Ink could be very salty but this was perfect, the other course served was the spaghetti frutti di mare, all the seafood was cooked brilliantly and pasta cooked al dente. We were left sopping up the sauce with bread. During dessert (which was good) we met the owner and he offered espresso with sambuca as is custom in Italy. I felt so comfortable at the restaurant even though it was tiny and would fly up to Niagara Falls just to eat here. Best Italian food I've had out of Italy.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

Had an incredible meal here on Friday May 9th. The calamari was delicious. My Veal Parmesan was the best I have ever had! My friend ordered the Spaghetti Fruitti di Mare and it was amazing, just like in Italy. We will def be back. Great service, incredible price for the huge portions and the food was very very good!!!! Would recommend Villella's to everyone!!!!

“Authentic southern Italian cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

The food is clean, fresh and authentic, it reminds of the trattoria's in southern Italy and Sicily. The Resteraunt is cozy with 6-7 tables so call for a reservation. The wines on the menu are great at a reasonable price. The red sauce is light and made with San Marzano tomatoes, but the chefs are so talented, order something other than red sauce, save that for your side.
