“Wonderful overnight stay for our anniversary!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

Just got back from an overnight stay at Giacomo for our second wedding anniversary. I highly recommend it if staying in Niagara Falls.

The building itself is fabulous. Gorgeous mix of Art Deco & industrial in this historic building. Loved our corner room on the sixth floor. King sized platform bed, lots of big windows, nice bathroom- and all were very clean!
Spent about 2 hours in the evening up on the 19th floor sky view lounge having some cocktails & munchies we brought from our room while waiting for and watching the beautiful sunset.
Breakfast was good- eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, a variety of toppings for potatoes (or eggs I suppose ) teas & coffees, juices, breads, English muffins & croissants to toast, cold cereals as well as oatmeal in another beautiful room- the breakfast room.
Also off the lobby was a gorgeous lounge & bar that we wandered around before checking out in the morning, taking pictures of the furniture & decor because yes- it was that cool! Reminded me of things you would find in a palace- velvety jewel toned chairs in various shapes & sizes.
When I asked where the ice machine was, they brought ice right up to our room, they have valet parking, staff was very pleasant & helpful.
I would definitely stay here again, and we may take a trip back in the summer as it was pretty cold this weekend.
We went to the outlets as well as the Seneca Niagara Casino for a few hours after we arrived before check in time. Not impressed with the Casino but its maybe two blocks away so definitely within walking distance. I'd also like to visit the Culinary Institute & wander the shops and eateries in warmer weather!
We would definitely stay here again! And we found it on trip advisor!
Note: no pets or kids allowed, so plan ahead.

It's like being in a luxurious apartment. Nothing ordinary or drab. The sheet had stains upon arrival but was quickly changed. The carpet had some stains but room was clean and the bathroom was huge. I have to compliment the bar tender. He had a cocktail menu and when I asked he just make me one he did not hesitate. He actually chilled the martini glass with ice water then dried it. That is a detail you don't see very often.
No hidden charges, free parking, wifi, bottled water, fridge in room, chocolates, breakfast.

we arrived in minus 14 deg to Niagara and arrived at this amazing hotel. Everbody was welcoming and helpful. The room we had with fireplace on the sixth floor overlooked goat island and across the mist of the falls to the Canadian side. The lights are bedazzlingand look far better from a distance. We visited the Canadian side as part of our tour an my impression was that of a really commercialised tourist area. I really felt at home in this hotel, hot breakfast each morning and and staff who were so friendly and helpful. I recomend this hotel for a great stay.

This is not your typical hotel. The architecture alone is breathtaking. Our king room was like a loft. We had a corner room with a fireplace. The windows encompassed two complete walls. There are no hotels on the American side with a view of the falls, however, we had a beautiful view. We could see the mist from both falls as well as Goat Island, the Niagara River and Canada. They had a wonderful lounge, two downstairs sitting areas, one with a flat screen. They offer a full complimentary breakfast in another beautiful room. The 18th floor is a observation room with an amazing view as well as another sitting area with a flat screen, computer and restroom. They also have an exercise room. The staff was great, pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend Giacomo.

Room Tip: Ask for the river side view

Based on our first stay, my wife and I decided to come back for a quick get away to the US side of the falls. Our visit this time wasn't quite as good as the last, partially due to the February weather. Checking in we found out we were on the second floor and facing the street (ugly) but it was the freezing room that seemed to never get warm (even with the fireplace) that made me give The Giacomo an average rating on this trip. If I'm paying the boutique price, I expect a better than average stay. Not sure if I'd be back for a third try.

Room Tip: Hopefully you can get a fireplace room or one with a nice tub.... Not like the views form the room a...

Great Hotel location. Room was spacious and well appointed. Front desk and room service was very responsive and professional. Small lounge had live music and a half bar for libations and spirits. The view of the falls is lacking due to hotel being on the "back" side of the falls.

You can see the back water before it goes over the falls but not the falls itself. Great location to all the attractions with in short walking distance. Free Valet parking was a bonus due to limited parking on the streets. Planning a return for a "Romantic Weekend" in the future.

Room Tip: Do Not expect to see the splendor of the Niagra Falls from this Hotel. You can see the back water b...

My wife and I stayed at The Giacomo for one evening during first week of February to make a brief visit to the Niagara Falls (Winter). We experienced the staff as very friendly and competent and the hotel suite very tastefully decorated. The hotel have a great lookout platform on the 18th floor when where one could see the falls and much of the city.

I highly recommend this Hotel as a great place to stay for business or pleasure.

Room Tip: request a room on the top floors with a view of the falls.
