“Amazing hotel, amazing staff, fantastic room, great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Stayed here for a couple of nights in early November for my boyfriends birthday.
What an awesome hotel, where do I start!? Great staff, warm greeting and easy check in.
Free valet and our car was stored in a gated and secure lot. The staff answered all of our questions and were very helpful. They even offered us free chauffeur service if we needed it.

When we checked into our room, we had a great view of the Canadian side, couldn't really see the falls, but we had a nice view none the less.

Bed was super comfortable, room was spacious, decor was neat and bathroom was huge!
Only complaint was the water pressure wasn't very powerful and the hot water took a while to heat up, but once it got going, it was nice and hot. It is an old building so I could understand about the water pressure. Lots of storage, ironing board, amenities, bar fridge, housecoats, etc.

Warm cookies were delivered both nights to our room promptly at 7pm...who does that?!
The Giacomo does! It made our stay extra special.

Within a 5-6 min walking distance to the Seneca Casino. Probably 20-25 mins to the Canadian border.

I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything was awesome and I highly recommend it. Price also couldn't be beat (booked hotel early).

Room Tip: Ask for the highest floor possible!

“Teriffic little boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

We had an event to attend at the N. Falls convention center , and opted for the Giacomo instead of the cigarette smelly casino rooms or the large , hockey tournament infested , child crazy , noisy Sheraton ....so happy that we did. It was quiet, elegant , comfortable....they drove us wherever we needed to go with their complimentary van driver , complimentary breakfast was good , room was lovely, warm cookies delivered to the room each night , chocolates on the pillow ....a lot of really nice touches .....we would stay there again in a heartbeat even if it was twice the price of the other area hotels...you get what you pay for

“Splendor Suite rocks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We booked the Splendor Suite on the 16th floor for a weekend and absolutely loved it! It is decorated with a modern-themed art deco decor--colorful and comfortable at the same time. The suite occupies the entire floor and has 360 degree views. There is a full kitchen with a huge granite island, a billiards table, three flat screen TVs, full-size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, all utensils, glasses and dishes, a steam shower plus jacuzzi tub, and very comfortable bedding. The one bedroom has a king size bed and the other has two queen beds and is very spacious. There are two walk-in closets. The living room area has a nice seating arrangement suitable for reading or chatting.

The valet parking is efficient and the valets and staff were very friendly. The full breakfast offered at the hotel was very good, with make to order Belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, an assortment of bagels, English muffins, and breads, juices, coffee and tea. The dining area is elegantly casual.

The Giacomo hotel is located directly across from the Niagara Falls State Park and you can walk to it and to several of the attractions on the American side. The Seneca Casino is about a block away. There is a lounge on the 19th floor accessible by staircase only that has incredible views of the Falls and surrounding area. The lounge has no food or drink but has several comfortable leather sofas, chairs, a large flatscreen TV, wet bar and a restroom.

I would recommend the suite if you have several people staying, although the only drawback is the one bathroom. However, this is a small inconvenience. The suite sleeps up to six.

“Nice stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

We stayed at the Giacomo last month and really enjoyed the accommodations and service on our anniversary weekend. Very clean and good service. For 40.00 more you can check in early which is a joke. Overall good stay!

“Excellent Year Round”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We recently spent 2 nights at the Giacomo during the month of January, typically the off season for Niagara Falls area. Even though the attendance was low, the staff at the hotel was still as courteous and helpful as expected. The lounge musicians were playing to an empty room, but we still enjoyed their efforts. The breakfast staff were happy to serve and everyone of the staff members we encountered were always smiling and ready to assist in any way possible. The hotel itself is beautiful and we couldn't have asked for better. One of the staff gave us a great recommendation for lunch while in Buffalo and we took her up on it, enjoying every bite. The young bartender with the wayfarer glasses was a gentleman beyond his years. Thank you guys for being awesome!

Room Tip: If you're facing north, you will want a room on the 5th floor or above to avoid looking directly...
