“Niagara's best kept secret”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

My husband and I are a honeymooning couple in Niagara Falls and absolutely loved this bed and breakfast! The room we stayed in, The Garden Room, was comfortable and homey. The hostess, Laura Lee, was so friendly and accommodating. She even made us sweet tea just because we mentioned wanting some at the breakfast table. Her breakfast was delicious with a nice spread of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, various fruits, yogurt, granola, cold cereals, her amazing homemade cinnamon rolls, and an orange sweet roll. The B&B was within walking distance of the Niagara Falls State Park and the bridge to Canada, so great location! I would recommend this to anyone. (The only downside would be that she kept two very sweet cats in the house, even though they are not allowed in the guests rooms. I am allergic to cats and had no reaction, but it is something to keep in consideration!)

My family and I organized a trip to Niagara Falls for my parents, who were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. The Rainbow House was the perfect choice, and every single thing was absolutely perfect. The B&B was impeccably clean, very comfortable, yet a great deal at the same time. The breakfast was served fresh every morning, with home-made pastries, eggs, and fruit. In the evening we would sit in the living room for an hour or so, enjoying a glass of wine - it felt like we were in our own home, yet at the same time enjoying a vacation.
In addition, we asked for a vow renewal ceremony, to be held right at the river. This was a surprise for my parents, and it worked perfectly. The ceremony was understated and classy, exactly the way I had imagined it. Laura Lee was very accommodating in terms of tailoring the ceremony to my parents' style and even provided a beautiful bouquet of peonies (we asked for flowers from her garden, to give it a more personal touch).
There was not a single thing that any of us disliked at the Rainbow House and we would gladly return for another visit. We realized how lucky we were and that it was a much better choice for us to stay at the Rainbow House than at some other B&B or at a large hotel. Last, not least, we were provided with tips on where to purchase cheaper tickets for local attractions, which restaurant was good (we had a dinner at a nearby restaurant after the ceremony, and again everything was perfect), and the B&B was literally only 10 minutes away (on foot) from the American Falls. Everything was perfect, and exactly the way it was described on the B&B website.

Room Tip: The B&B has 6 rooms. Room 6 is a suite for 3 people, which is difficult to find. Also, each and...

We had a wonderful experience working with Laura Lee to plan our wedding, and a wonderful time staying at Rainbow House while we were in Niagara Falls. We were warmly received and graciously cared for the whole time. The old house is lovely, and the wedding chapel was the perfect venue for our ceremony. We also highly recommend Laura Lee's apricot rolls... as well as the cinnamon rolls! -- Ken & Doug

Room Tip: We had the honeymoon suite, with comfy chairs and a cozy ambience on a chilly rainy March day.

We got to Point Breeze about an hour from Niagara for a break – could get over the view out over the lake – there was no horizon it was just massive like the ocean. We decided to ring a B&B (Rainbow Guest House) we had seen in Lonely Planet and Laura Lee was out visiting family but said she had one room left and there was a hiddeny key, so we grabbed it - $130. It was on the US side which we thought was best choice as although had been recommended to stay on the Canadian side this B&B was close to the falls. Rainbow B&B was easy to find and we were soon unloaded and into our lovely cosy period style room. On the advise of Laura Lee we walked to the end of the road and tried a tiny Italian restaurant with about 6 tables where the fat Italian chef was working away in an open kitchen – we felt this was going to be good – and it was superb!
Had a great nights sleep and a lovely breakfast before getting on the road again and seeing some nearby waterfalls!

I want to start by saying that Laura Lee is a great host, breakfast was great, room was nice and clean, our room was the counrty room, which seems to be a smaller room compaired to the others, but it was functional and pretty :). We were given great advise about when to go see what, which we took..if it wasn't for her we prbly wouldn't have gone to see the Old Niagara Fort, which is a must see! she also gave us tickets she had to the Aquarium, it was great..we saw a seal show:)) and shark feeding,so cool. Also the location of the B&B is great, about 10 min from the river and the bridge to Goat island, across the street from the casino. The casino was great, even if you don't like to gamble..much different from others, drinks are good, people are nice and the food was great, I can only say that about one of their restourants: Blues- the burgers were awsome!!! so enjoy your stay and I hope this helps :)))

What's not to love? Laura Lee took all the stress out of our wedding. As a "second time around" couple we wanted no fanfare and no one else but us. With only two phone conversations, Laura Lee arranged for the photographer, ordered and picked up my bouquet, drove us to the rapids for the simple outdoor ceremony, and performed the ceremony herself. It was exactly what we wanted and much less expensive than an elopement to Las Vegas!

We spent two nights in the Bridal Suite which was very spacious and had a lovely porch. The touristy hotels are encroaching on this cute B&B but Laura Lee does what she can to keep her property looking quaint and romantic. We discovered Niagara Falls is definitely not a place to find gourmet restaurants, so Laura Lee's wonderful breakfasts (with fresh cinnamon buns!) were culinary highlights for us.

Thanks for a perfect wedding!

Myself and new husband stayed at the B&B for 3 nights, and were also wed by Laura Lee at the falls. Great experience, we would do it all over again. Laura Lee did a great job with arranging the details. Breakfasts were substantial and tasty, and the garden room was peaceful. While there are cats on main floor, there was no evidence of cat hair anywhere & although I am allergic, I had no problems during my stay. We did not use our car at all during the trip, location was within walking distance to all. Hope to visit again for an anniversary. One wish is that the city bounces back; the urban blight was disconcerting.
