“Surprisingly good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2009

Best lobster bisque we've ever had. Good lobster roll, though the bun should have been buttered and toasted. Nice waitress, great service. Waiting area could be warmer (we were a few minutes early for our reservation).

“Great portions and quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2009

My wife and I came here for lunch. The seafood is very fresh and delicious with very large portions and reasonable prices. I had steamed mussels with chorozo which were perfectly cooked, and a very large portion. My wife had a rare tuna sandwich with a giant portion of good quality tuna grilled in a very fresh roll-very nice. I also saw some really awesome looking sandwiches being served to the next table; fried oyster and barbecued shrimp. Both looked really tasty and we were told by the customers that esat them that they were delicious.

“which fish will you choose?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2009

When you walk in you can see what the fish (many types) of the day is and they tell you a little about each. You can pick how you want it cooked or pick off the menu. It was super fresh and so good! Quick service and nice wait staff. Make reservations if it's a weekend! The interior is set to look like the ocean sort of - nothing fancy at all. Jeans are fine.

“Great Seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2009

Found this on an alphabetical list provided by the New Paltz Visitors Center, and decided to give it a try. Wow! What a pleasant surprise! Great seafood. The restaurant is attached to their retail fish market that is supplied fresh daily from the Fulton Fish Market in NYC. We went for lunch.

FOOD:
Great variety of fresh fishes and shellfish, and a chef who understands exactly how to prepare them. Our favorite was the Lobster Scallop and Shrimp Risotto. YUM. The clam strips were every bit as good as the best from Cape Cod or Long Island.

SERVICE:
The service could not have been friendlier. We were made to feel totally welcome and well attended to.

AMBIENCE:
In total keeping with the rest of this charming town. Regional nautical theme in the dining room. Comfortable. Friendly. Country-style. Casual dress.

COST
Reasonably priced--appropriate to the quality of the food and the preparation. Lunch for 2 about $40. More than worth it.

Highly recommended.
