“It's always a treat. The scenery, the trails, the everything.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

We love walking the property. The trails around the lake are great for all types of "hikers." They have some truer hiking challenges too-something called the Lemon Squeeze. Very cool, but I didn't try it as I didn't have the right shoes. Oh, and the Mother's Day brunch is really nice.

“Beautiful Place to walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

I am a local to the New Paltz area, and we never tire of visiting Mohonk to walk. We often go to the Spring Farm Road access trails. In the winter, the snow shoeing and x-country skiing are amazing, and if you are not a guest of the Hotel, you can still ice skate at the mountain house for a fee. The entry fee is steep-it is per person I believe!! Look online for specials. If you will visit more than 2 or 3 times, worth it to get a per person pass for the season. The parking lots fill up on the weekends, so get there early!!!! You may get lucky with parking and not paying if you go later in the day or very early. Also-there are several different parking lots and areas to choose from, not just the Mountain House entrance. Some of the trails not suitable for young walking kids or the infirm. We have never stayed at the Hotel, but have visited there often. The spa is nice and you can get a day pass to the preserve if you book a spa day. You can also inquire about eating there if you get a day pass. Worth the trip--one of the most gorgeous places in the US!

“Breath taking!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

My boyfriend and I hiked up onto Mohonk Mt. and we summit-ed and it was just breath taking!!! The view is so awesome!! Then we went into the dining room or cocktails and dinner. they had superb waiters and bar tenders, that knew what they were doing. A little pricey, but ya get what you pay for just a delightful evening!!-

“Gorgeous in the fall!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

The trees were absolutely gorgeous in October! Lots of rock climbers, but hiking is nice too. Parking can be difficult to find, there are a few parking lots but they fill up fast so go early in the day.
