We stopped in a local store front restaurant one Sunday evening, not expecting too much. We had dined Friday night at Marcello's in Suffern, NY and Saturday night at Aqua Terra Grille in Pearl River, NY, two of our favorite restaurants. Our entre' at Jimmy's surpassed the dinners we had eater the past two nights. Our Summer Seafood Platter was as amazing as the menu said it was. Fresh shrimp, clams, mussels, calamara, etc. were mixed in with just perfectly cooked brocoli and red pepper and served on a bed of linguni. No sauce, other than a light garlic and white wine, olive oil mixture blended the seafood and veggies. After eating a a number of South and East Hampton restaurants this summer and every summer, I couldn't believe that my favorite meal was right up the street in Nanuet.
The "storefront" was dressed up as much as possible with an enclosed eat in terrace with yellow canopy, lots of live yellow flowers and tall juniper bushes that secluded the area from the rest of Main Street.
