“Chaparoned school trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

Great fun, period costumes on docents, very nice settings. Had opportunity to make soap, butter, watch potter, tinsmith, brewery and other civil war era activities.

“I love old buildings and old ways!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Many genuine old buildings to examine as well as the old ways of living and working with many people there to explain it all. They also have a variety of special events that are exxcellent.

“Great way to spend the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

Historically, it's an amazing trip back in time. With all of the actual buildings, materials, pots, materials and the people dressed in period costume, you feel out of place in 21st century garb. You forget how much we take for granted today and how they had to create EVERYTHING they used and ate back then. I found it entirely fascinating. Well worth it. We are very fortunate to have a resource like that so close to us.

“Great Place to spend a day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Everyone will have a great time. It requires some walking to appreciate all of it. A gem a bit removed from the city. Worth a visit for someone interested in local history, crafts.
