“Still a great choice for a special evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

I have dined here many times but not since it changed from La Dutchess Anne to Four Corners. I was please it still has the same warm but upscale feel. Little has changed and that includes the quality of the food. The staff is friendly and the chef shows interest in how you enjoyed his creations. It is a beautiful spot and that food and service are top notch.

“Four Corners Country Inn - Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We had a wonderful dinner here this past Saturday evening. We went with another couple and everyone enjoyed their meal immensely. The short ribs were really tasty, as was the calamari and the short ribs ragout, served with pasta. Try to leave room for dessert as they were especially good. I had a wonderfully rich bread pudding that was swimming in creme anglaise; my husband had a yummy frozen citrus dish. Our friends had classically prepared chocolate mousse and creme caramel.
The hosts, Frank and Sibyle provided friendly and attentive service. Four Corners used to be the La Duchesse Anne and restaurant has retained the charm of that restaurant with a cozy fireplace and attractive Victorian decor. We certainly will come back here for special meals.

“No Longer Same Name but Still Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

This is a wonderful place that should not be missed if you are in the area. However, the niece of the former owner of La Duchesse Anne has recently taken over management and has had to change the name to the Four Corners Country Inn (http://www.fourcornerscountryinn.com).
We did not stay in one of the rooms, but we did have a superb meal.

The dinner we had was superb. This place is the real thing. It is not expensive for good French food and the atmosphere and service is “impeccable” as they say in French.

They now have some sandwiches and non-French stuff on the menu. But I highly advise that you stick with the French stuff. The French Charcuterie Board appetizer was more than enough for two (or three!) We had Salmon in Bordelaise sauce and a fantastic tuna dish. Unfortunately the old signature dish of the old place, Half Roasted Duck in a port wine reduction was out. But the fish dishes were exceptionally good. Try finding that quality for twice the price in Manhattan! Don’t miss this place when you are in the Catskills!

“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

This reinvention of a country inn is wonderful. The french cuisine was outstanding, the staff warm and welcoming. We only had dinner, but we are considering staying at this Inn next time.
