Description: Village Social offers the perfect formula of design, community and lifestyle. Great food, great service, great music and great conversation. The sounds of local chatter increase as you walk through the door. The décor feels warm and inviting, yet industrial and rustic…the perfect balance to a welcoming environment. Brick, refurbished barn wood, concrete flooring and transparent glass supported by exposed iron trusses define the structure. The subtle scent of wood burning in the brick oven fills the room, with the accent of seared specialties, dashed with the fragrance of fresh herbs..washed with a glass of red wine..all served with a side of classic rock riffs.

“always crowded, nice bar scene, and yet...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012 via mobile

The food is tasty, the service respectable, the bar always busy of an evening. But there's just something...cold...about the place. Lunch can be nice, good pizzas, but there are lots of more comfortable places to nosh in town. Could be just me, but some others agree, so.

“Chic lunch spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Easy place to have a casual business lunch and actually talk. Food is reliable and interesting. Only problem is that it's a bit dark if you're not near the windows or one of the several skylights. Afterwork bar crowd is friendly and congenial.

“Food is OK. Noise in untolerable.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

The food is fine. The noise is way over the top. It is nearly impossible to have a conversation here. If the noise level wasn't so high, it almost would make it able to justify the NYC prices.

“Excellent, creative food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012 via mobile

We've eaten here several times since it opened and have never had a bad dish. Everything is very high quality and the combinations are unusual and delicious. The menu changes to keep things seasonal and fresh. Best burger I've ever had, anywhere. Great salads, fish, fun pizzas. Killer desserts. Portions are sensible, not huge. Just right. One of our all time faves. If you want to talk, choose the restaurant side over the bar.
