i live on long island so i booked a two night stay mid-week on an internet site to stay in montauk. big mistake. i paid rack rate(only rate available at the time).the first night was ok. upon returning to our room the second night about 4pm from the pool we found house keeping stripping our beds. when i said we were a stayover they called the desk and were told that we would be spending the next night in another room! we were not told this at checkin. we were dripping wet and i had no private place to change the kids into dry clothes so we were forced to change with housekeeping trying to clean at the same time. a disgrace! storming into the front desk i confronted the clerk and asked why we were not told at check - in. we got no satisfactory reply. by now, my kids were acting up. i decided to cancel the next night and packed to leave as i live fairly close. at home i called to speak to the reservation supervisor who told me basically this is the way internet reservations are handled. i insisted that she make amends immediately. she offered me a coupon for another nite stay. iagreed thinking it would be a free night. when i got the coupn it was for a non -peak season night for 99$. what a bargain. need less to say i did not use it. i get treated better when i stay at hotels in nj and pa for 99$. the only reason they can get away with this is they are on the marina and they do weddings, so beware.

We stayed at the Montauk Yacht Club for our Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The hotel staff was great, it seemed each one of the staff members were there just for us. Our accommodations were great, the view of the marina was beautiful and last but not least was the Thanksgiving buffet at Ill Mare restaurant again the food and service was outstanding. We will go back.

I found out about the Montauk Yacht Club from a good friend of mine. I went with my family for a weekend and we all had a great time. There is something for everyone. My wife went shopping and sat on the beach with a book and I went fishing with by sons. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at Il Mare, a Italian restaurant at the resort, it was great. We will return as soon as we can.

We had the pleasure of staying at Montauk Yacht Club Resort and Marina in September. We had great service and great food. The scenery was wonderful and relaxing. We're looking forward to our next visit.
