“Good food,sevice and Great view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

The Inlet restaurant is a very nice restaurant. The food was good, especially the sushi. The sevice was also very attentive and met our expectations in every way. This is the 2nd time visiting this restaurant and both times we enjoyed. If its warm enough get a seat outdoors, the view is amazing.

“Go for the view and stay for the food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

Consistenly solid restaurant with good seafood that is always straight off the dock. Location is terrific and on the inlet to the LI Sound. Service is casual but very good. Noise factor can be a little challenging at times, especially with larger tables and children. A little pricey but food quality is excellent when sticking to seafoood and fish.

“Yummy food & view”

Recommended by our motel & by another guest...didn;t disappoint. The crab & shrimp stuffed Fluke (Flounder) was amazing and the Swordfish cooked perfectly.

“Great food, bad service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

We went to the Inlet for what was supposed to be my fiance's amazing 30th birthday dinner. We arrived and there was about a 30 minute wait, the hostess suggested sitting outside because we would be at the perfect time to catch the sunset, we agreed and sat at the bar and had some drinks. The bartender was great, drinks were great. We sat outside and our waitress was miserable. First I told her we wanted to order apps but wasn't ready to order our entrees because I didn't know what I wanted, she said and I quote "it would be a lot easier and things would work smoother if you just ordered everything at once". I was kinda shocked because I've never in my life heard that before so we ordered. We were sitting in the outside area off the bar, there were about 25 people waiting out there right next to our table with their drinks. There were a few kids literally running laps next to our table, it was so disruptive and annoying and almost impossible to have a nice conversation and enjoy our dinner. Our waitress continued to be rude through the entire dinner. The food on the other hand is amazing, absolutely wonderful, it's a shame our dinner was ruined by the bad service and the horrible atmosphere outside. Suggestion to the Inlet, put all tables out on that area and don't have it be a "hang out" area for people to wait with drinks for their tables. It's not enjoyable an almost impossible to have a nice relaxing dinner with that going on. We would possibly go back because how good the food is, but we would sit on the inside.
