“Great views with decent bar food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

This place always comes highly recommended, so we keep trying it, but have yet to have the experience we are promised by friends. Just unremarkable in many ways. Staff is not terribly friendly, menu isn't great, and food is over-rated bar food. Everything I have had here was disappointing, pasta, mussels, ribs, pizza, etc. I would recommend sitting outside with a cocktail and enjoying the views and the energy of the place, but that's about it.

“Fresh, tasty and popular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

Each dish, meant for sharing, was a surprising treat--attractive to look at and exceptionally tasty. The waitstaff generously directed us toward the proper choices for our evening meal. Make a reservation if there on the weekend, although sitting at the bar or cafe table is swell.

“Harvest is added to my list of top 10 FAVORITE restaurants.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

We just loved everything about this restaurant. We went back 2 nights in a row. The food, staff and ambience is perfect. Reservations are required long in advance during the summer season. I would suggest making the reservation before you begin your travels. Its that good. Waterfront on Fort Pond, amazing place for a sunset.

“Huge portions, beautiful sunset”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

The food was excellent with huge portions. Everyhting is served family style which allows you to sample all of their best dishes. We had a group of 12, ordered 2 salads, 1 pizza and three entrees and it was more than enough food for everyone to get a taste of everything. They also have a wonderful selection of wine on their list. The place was busy even though it was off season and the space is a little cramped, but the service was great. You can't beat the sunset over the marsh.

“Food is consistently good. Service can be inconsistent, epecially in high season”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

We've been eating at Harvest since it opened, and have not had a bad meal. Occasionally we get an indifferent server. The seafood bruschetta is top notch, as is the pork tenderloin with the apple apricot chutney, which we just discovered last July. The pasta dishes are also good. I did note that this year the bruschetta had a few more mussels and a few less shrimp and scallops. Mussels are cheaper so it's probably to avoid raising prices in a place like Montauk where prices have been running away lately, but I will be watching . . .

Tip for those who order the lamb ribs appetizer -- know what you're getting. Lamb ribs by their nature are very fatty. That's how they are supposed to be. If you know what you're ordering you'll realize that they are cooked exactly how they are meant to be cooked.
