Looking for any restaurant open after 9pm on a Saturday, we stumbled onto T&T Famiglia. What we thought would be standard pub fare turned out to be quality Italian cuisine. The quirky little restaurant/bar had a real hometown feel to it. For privacy, our group had a table in the restaurant area which is separated from the bar with glass doors. There was a lovely view of the river below. But the food - amazing! Everything cooked from scratch- no shortcuts or frozen food substitutes. It was all the real deal.
Our group tried everything from spaghetti and meatballs with homemade, slow simmered sauce, to volcano hot wings, wraps, quesadillas and more. The pasta was outstanding! The portions were generous, but more importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. We finished with the pumpkin cheesecake which had a lovely, light texture and rich flavor.
What was most impressive was the attention and service shown to us. We were a large group arriving one hour before the restaurant closed, yet the owner and our waitress made us feel so welcome. Even after the restaurant was technically closed, they cheerfully took our requests for dessert. The owner himself came out to check on us to see that we were all happy with our meals. I look forward to my next opportunity to visit Massena so I can try out some more of their fabulous pasta dishes.
