“Sooo nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2014

We were so fortunate to find this place in time to see the leaves at their peak color! The Nest is cozy, yet completely equipped with almost everything we needed for a comfortable week-long stay. I totally enjoyed the screened porch which looks across the lake. I had brought my own bedding and towels, but they had provided these things anyway. The owner Chris, was so friendly too. We had short and easy access to the dock where our boat was tied up, and along the pathway is a great octagonal table overlooking the south end of the lake, and a nice little sandy beach with a firepit. While our neighbors were friendly, I was trying to cram so much adventure into one week that I didn't take the time to mingle. I wish I could have stayed longer (a lot longer!) and had gotten a chance to experience all of the relaxing amenities that Journey's end offers.

Room Tip: 'The Nest' has a small but nice enclosed porch. (My favorite hang-out)

We are in Retreat and it is a perfect gem for two, not fancy but comfy, warm and suitably log cabinish. Tiny little kitchen where we can cook, small frig and freezer, nice hot water shower, two beds for warm cosy sleeping. Only complaint is the seating in living area includes a lumpy sort of futon only comfy for one. Porch with Adirondack chairs is perfect for watching lake and relaxing. It is quiet, lovely and a great unwinding place. I love it!

Room Tip: Retreat for couple
