“Very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Food was reasonable and very nice, the place is a bit run down and needs some TLC as it appears very tired and really dated, however the waiting staff were friendly and reasonably efficient, although didn't now the menu very well when we asked questions. Food was good though.

“If you love Italy you will love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

There are many Italian restaurants in NYC, but there are only few good ones. The Manducatis Rustica is one of the best ones. Even the last time I was in Tuscany (4 months ago) I didn't eat so well as yesterday in this restaurant.

The minestrone is made from fresh vegetables, perfectly spiced and served hot. Furthermore, they bring freshly made pizza bred immediately to the table. Waiters are very tentative, but not overly rushed (a nice mix between serving the US customers and having a lazy Italian attitude) and the atmosphere fits perfectly.

Additionally, they make real Neapolitan pizza (pizza napoletana) at this place, which are delightful. The Tiramisu is made like in Italy.

Very nice place! Will come back any time again.

“My love for Italy and Italain cusine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

For my birthday, I was treated like a queen and taken here, it was an extremely busy restuarant. We odered and enjoyed the fresh breads and wine as we awaited for our starters to arrive, they were delightful and were followed by a even tastier main course. Having to order desert was exciting as the other two courses. I adore Italain cusine and Im looking forward to tasting it again over the Summer or in another fine Italain resturant like this one.

“Fabulous food, warm atmosphere, home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Without a doubt one of Long Island City's best restaurants. Chef (Momma) Gianna has an amazing range from traditional home style Italian to sophisticated original offerings - all with carefully chosen authentic ingredients. One of our favorite comfort dishes is the awesome calzone. Raves for the assortment of gelatos. The staff is attentive and friendly. The restaurant frequently and generously offers its space to all types of local activity as diverse as a small knitting group to large community meetings. It seamlessly handles large celebratory events and an intimate dinner for two.
