Prior to arrival- I was informed by my bank's Fraud Team that a company was attempting to withdraw money without permission - Nesva. I was not pleased as I was unaware this.
Arrival- After travelling for over 12hour from the UK we were very excited about being in the US. On arrival we were told about a $200 deposit. Again, I was not aware this was required. The young man on the front desk was not very polite nor understanding of our situation.** Also we found out that of any damage is found in the room, money will be deducted from your bank card**.
Hotel Room - Our room was on the 8th floor of the building. Unfortunately the window would not open. This was flagged up to staff on the front desk, however we were informes that rooms above the 2nd have windows which do not open. This was incorrect, as there were rooms above is which were noticable.
The room was modern looking. Flat-screen tv. Air conditioning. Bath had to be rinsed before use. It was very quiet with a great view out to Dutch Kills.
Breakfast - poor. If you arrive after 8am expect little in the way of a buffet, very limited space for everyone to access the 'buffet'. Still, basics there such as bread, yoghurt and fruit.
Service - lovely lady at front of desk. Helped with taxi and recommendations.
Location- Great. Near-by to a number of local Subway stations. Must try Dutch Kills bar. The local area is quiet and residential.
Overall, it was ok. I wouldn't stay again tho.
