It was a desent place to stay for the price. It is not possible for the walls to be any thinner so the noise level was not acceptable. There is no parking, even the one advertised... not even to unload the luggage.

Room Tip: Luck, there is no way to trick to it because the receptionist will not listen to what you are saying...

After arriving in NY after 24 hours of traveling across the world, the hotel staff welcomed us, and had no problem with an early check in. A huge thank you Andre!!

The twin double room was fine and clean, with all the amenities.
Beds and linen were very clean and comfortable.
Free Internet worked well most of the time. Only a few occasions we failed to log on, must have been over a busy period?
Breakfast room was very small, but arriving before 7:30, we had no problem for a table. The Free Breakfast was more than adequate for a start to your day.
Staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. I would say even better than many staff in other upmarket Manhattan hotels I've stayed in before.
The single elevator is slow and jerky, and did not instill confidence.
Yes the area has traffic/train noise at night, but what NYC Hotel doesn't?

This hotel is situated in a run down area, however it is safe with lots of people around and convenience stores and take aways close by.

The access to Manhattan is the obvious selling point for this hotel, which was fantastic.

The Manhattan hotels were very expensive over this period. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and have no regrets in booking this hotel for our short transit through NY on our vacation.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 8 nights. We needed a room as a base while we explored the city. The room was clean, tidy, had a hot shower, comfy bed, a large tv and a large safe. It's in a fantastic location as the queensbro plaza subway station at the end of the road about 1mins walk from the front door of the hotel. An unlimited subway metro card cost us $30 for the week. (Very cheep when you consider it costs that for 1 taxi ride from the city) if you want to skip Times Square and head down town then you can use the queens plaza subway station which is about 3 blocks away. If your unsure staff at the hotel were very helpful and happy to help and will supply a subway map. (I found the free New York subway app very useful, and helped me avoid looking a complete tourist having to open a map every 2 mins.) If I had to complain about something then I'd say the room was a little bit small but oh well, if your like me you won't be visiting New York to sit in your room the whole time. Great stay, would highly recommend!

The rooms are small, but that is how all New York City hotels are. If you want a room for a decent price to stay in while traveling into the city stay here. There is a continental breakfast every morning and the subway station is one block away. You can take the subway into Times Square in about 10 minutes and down to the financial district in 30-45 minutes.

Just stayed at the Comfort Inn Long Island City for the second time last weekend. I come to the city several times a year and have found the hotels in this area to be a relative bargain to Manhattan, and only 1-2 subway stops away.
I arrived a couple hours early and was very grateful my room was ready. The cheerful staff told me my (points reward) room was being upgraded to a king and it was great. Very clean and relatively large for a NY room. Quiet and dark enough for sleeping, and all the necessary amenities I needed.
The Queensboro Plaza station (Q, N, and 7 trains) is literally at the end of the block, this is THE closest LIC hotel to a subway station. You do have to climb stairs into the elevated station so be aware if you have mobility issues. There's a great deli at the foot of the station, Tozt Cafe, had a sandwich the day I arrived and custom made salad for another meal. One subway stop away at 39 Ave is Zante's diner where I had breakfast both mornings I was there. (the hotel offers a free continental style breakfast, I just prefer a sit-down meal).
When it came time to leave, the staff held my luggage, and both checking in/out, and anytime I passed through the lobby, they were cordial to me.
I really like this place and the location is so convenient, it will always be on my short list for future stays.

This is a comfortable hotel, it was a good stay overall.

Nice and clean. No frills, but good value for money.

Very close to a sub way station which makes getting around the city easy.

Breakfast area a little small but adequate.

Would stay again for the (little) money spent and would recommend to those on a budget.

Happy that things have not changed at the good old Comfort Inn.
Happy to see some updates - new beds, business center etc. but love the staff and service.

Happy with the additions of Fresh Waffles to the breakfast.
Will continue to stay here when ever in NYC.
