“Marvelous, excellent, the max !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

We stayed at the contemporary & attractive "Hotel Vetiver" from 22oct-01nov13, more precisely in a "Condo-room" (with kitchenette, microwave & refrigerator) ... a really nice & spacious room with a balcony & partial Manhattan view ... it had all necessary amenities : bathroom with shower & toilet, flat screen tv, Ipod dock, phone, safe, free wifi ... and it was well cleaned every day. We also had a daily complimentary breakfast at the hotel, so very easy in the morning. The hotel is idealy located, only one block away from the subway station "39th Avenue-Beebe Av." & after only a short ride, you're in the middle of Manhattan. The staff is very kind & friendly, very professional & are always there for you when having questions or special needs. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel & when we're visiting NYC again, we'll surely stay there again.

Thank you for reviewing Hotel Vetiver on TripAdvisor!

I am just delighted to see that you enjoyed your Condo Room with Kitchenette. It is by far my favorite room type that we offer. I am so happy to know that you enjoyed all of the amenities in your room as well as our complimentary breakfast in the morning.

I am also glad that you took advantage of close location to the metro station. It truly is the best way to get around the city. The staff is happy to know that you found them to be professional and kind. We hope to see you again soon and thank you again.

Kind Regards,
Brittney

This hotel is situated right next to the 39th ave station (QN lines), which makes it very easy to get to the major city attractions. The hotel itself is situated in Queens, next to the Queensboro bridge. We found a couple of great restaurants nearby, and everything you need is close to the hotel -- pharmacy, liquor store and food market.

The room itself was really tiny, but had everything we needed.

PROS:
Good location -- we could actually see the queensboro bridge (along with the skyline) while sitting in our bed. Gorgeous view!
Friendly staff -- don't hesitate to ask questions. Altough the hotel didn't have a restaurant, they were able to recommend good ones nearby.
Cheap price -- we paid 280$ for 2 nights taxes included.
SUPER clean

CONS:
Tiny tiny room, but as I said, we did not pay much so the room was perfect.
No fridge in the room.
The hotel itself is pretty well-decorated, but everything looked unfinished to me. Not sure for how long the hotel has been opened for though...
If you want to eat in the morning, make sure you get there first. I arrived at 8:30, and there was no croissant left :( no big deal, but still.

Overall, good hotel, good price! I will definitely go back the next time I visit NYC.

Friendly staff, good - spacious rooms, comfy beds, good location very near the subway which brings you in 15 minutes to Midtown/Times Square. Breakfast was fine and sufficient (i've seen less in more expensive USA hotels). Small point of improvement: it would be great as the European travellers would certainly prefer some bread/toast over the bagels. But that's only a small detail. Last but not least: excellent value for money: 110€ per night in NYC (about 140 dollars) is bargain for a 3 star hotel like this. All in all excellent stay in Hotel Vetiver!

Recommended, perfect hotel for a citytrip to NYC.

Stayed here for one night, got a free upgrade and awesome view of the city. Elevator is a tad bit slow, but whatever. Comp breakfast is convenient, nothing crazy, but nice and simple. Super nice staff, thanks Marquis for a quick check-in! Only caveat for me were the bed sheets --- kinda itchy on my super sensitive skin, maybe i'm just used to a higher thread count :-/ ??

All in all, Worth it! would stay here again and again.

Room was clean, and staff are very heplful especially Chad (Thank you). Great Price for a great view. We will definetly stay here again if we return to NYC.

+Good locations, amazing view on Manhettan from the room, relatively low price for living not far from Manhettan. Friendly staff.
-The price does not meet room interior.
We was enjoyed our stay at Vetiver hotel and will recomend it.

Room Tip: Higher floors have an amazing view on Manhetten

Everything about this hotel is just great: quality/price, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the room (with balcony and kitchinette) was great and kept impeccable , the subway is almost around the corner and takes only a few minutes to get into the heart of Manhattan. I enjoyed my stay (10 days) at this hotel and will surely return. It is highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are quiet. The studio is only recommended for one person (rather small).

Thank you for choosing Hotel Vetiver for your recent stay in New York. We are delighted that you enjoyed our Condo Room. We are one of the few hotels that offer a kitchenette and mini fridge and a spacious room.
We are located just one block away from the N and Q Train, which is why many of our guests mention the accessibility of our hotel to Manhattan. There is a total transit time of 10 minutes between our hotel and Times Square on the train.
Thank you for mentioning our hard working staff and for recommending our Hotel to fellow travelers.
We appreciate you taking time out of your day to write us an outstanding review. We look forward to seeing you again.
