“Convenient and safe, close to subway. nice breakfast & great shower!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Half price from hotel in Manhattan. Just 2 minutes walk from queen's 21st street subway. Convenient and safe. Brilliant breakfast, even better than the Michelangelo Hotel in which we stayed in Manhattan! Had better check the bill. We've been over charged certain amount than the money on voucher of booking.com. Fortunately to have realized this timely and get the additional charge refunded! Good view of Manhattan on the top floor. Elevator a bit noisy next to our room. Need be smart about the shower device. Before sorting to the Reception about how to operate, we failed to have a shower.

Room Tip: Better choose high floors to get a good view of Manhattan. stay a bit away from the elevator to keep...

At first it seems like the hotel is in an urban wasteland. But the neighborhood is safe and it's only 1.5 blocks to the subway station. We had a wonderful room with a view of Manhattan, a very comfy king bed, a mini fridge and clean, spacious bathroom. After trekking the city all day, it was nice to get back to our oasis. The free breakfast was adequate, and the parking garage was a bargain at $25/day. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. And we slept like babies - very quiet - not one disturbance. We found the Hot Bagels shop around the corner for lunch when we first arrived. Nice little spot - they made us breakfast bagels to go and we ate them in the cafe at the hotel, while we waited for our rooms. All-in all, a great experience. We will go back to Sleep Inn - definitely!

Room Tip: We were on the 5th floor facing Manhattan. It was very quiet and the view was a nice plus.

Good location, silent, and nice breakfast. But some problems: in the first night some guys were making noise repairs in a room of 5th floor, disturbing guests, it was necessary to complain in the reception. On Sunday, maid forgot to put towels, it was necessary to complain two times and wait forty minutes.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a nice view of the bridge.

The room was comfortable except the hot water would run out and become slightly warm before you had a chance to finish your shower. Television was not clear and the remote did not allow you to order movies like one channel offered. Breakfast was alright (don't try the sausage yuck) but the breakfast rooms are not large enough to accommodate the people staying in the hotel. The lobby and breakfast rooms are extremely hot.

Room Tip: This hotel is a block and half from the subway station Queensbridge and 21st street which is handica...

Good location near Subway station F-line. Room was clean with fresh air, easy to work with air condition machine. Bathroom clean and also fine. Bath towels changed every day. Bed soft and clean. Friendly staff. Small space for breakfast.

Perfectly located - the nearest subway station works 24/7 and one can get there within 2 minutes max. Manhattan is also a 5-minute commute (by subway) . The neighborhood is both quiet and clean and not crowded or smelly in the least at any time ; although surroundings look unsightlily industrial (but, hey, whatcha gonna do...) .

Their complimentary breakfast offerings are good and include healthy options - like yogurt - and hot ones - like burgers (coffee is offered 24/7) . The hotel also happens to be just a few meters from a pretty good latin american restaurant if you miss your daily rice (note: this comes from a Peruvian's point of view) . There's also a grocery store and other small joints nearby for when you don't feel like going back to the city.

The staff is always there for one and they are glad to assist with anything. Some of them are very fluent in spanish.

Our room was spacious, clean and well-kept (fully functional) ; with more-than-enough drawers and closet space. Large comfy beds with tubs/showers to match.

As for (albeit very small) nitpicks - the chair in our room was rather stiff to sit into and the TV signal was fuzzy at times. They could also use softer toilet paper (ha hah!) . We appreciated the mini-fridge but having a microwave, or at least a toaster, available in our room would have made it even better.

Last but certainly not least. We would gladly come back to this hotel. We experienced not one problem during our stay and the service was better than expected. =)

Room Tip: 9th floor offers an elegant view of the city across the bridge at night.

Good location, helpful members of staff, good breakfast, clean room; infact, I would recommend the hotel to anybody. I will surely stay there again anytime am in New York City. But try and improve the quality of the toilet rolls you supply to your guests.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good.
