“Very Convenient to Subway”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

This hotel served our purpose quite well. Very convenient from LGA and easy access to the Queensboro Bridge Subway station. Mobile station net door sells everything under the sun. Sandwiches, fresh cut up fruit, etc. Great to get your snacks and drinks each day. Room was well cleaned every day, free wifi, and many choices for breakfast. Cereals, bagels, toast, doughnuts, muffins, bananas, scrambled eggs, sausage, hard boiled eggs, several juices. Coffee machine was kind of a pain though. However, there is a pot in the room to make your own. The intersection outside in busy at peak hours. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and the air conditioner cooled well. For the price this was a good find with easy access into Manhattan. One of my favorite excursions was the Roosevelt aerial tram. Caught the bus by subway and rode over. Took the tram over to Midtown.

Room Tip: High floor with a view of Manhattan skyline...no street traffic noise on that side either.

I loved this hotel.

It is located within walking distance to 3 subway stations........
Queensboro Plaza (Stairs)
Queens Plaza (Elevators)
Queens Bridge (Esculator and elevator)
I got a one week Metro Card and traveling to Manhattan was a breeze.

Check-In was super easy and the front desk staff were always great.

Shout out to Jesica !

They were always there to answer any questions.....arrange car service to the airport, etc.

The room was big and super clean.....shout out to the housekeeping Ladies. They were very sweet.

The breakfast was better than many Regency Club level Lounges I have stayed in.
The guy that works the breakfast room is the hardest working man in the city.

Nothing like a NY bagel !

Down the street was a Laundry/Dry Cleaning store where you could do your own laundry or drop it off and they would do it for you....10 pounds was $10 !

I'll be back.

Not a good experience, price was ok, location was great, very close to 2 metro stations, about a 10 minute to get to Manhattan. Staff was ok, I think the people who run this place are from India and some of them hardly speak English which made it hard to communicate. As other people have said, breakfast area is overcrowded every morning, one day the potatoes on the breakfast were literally frozen(someone forgot to warm them before taking them to the breakfast area). After the 3th day I really didn't want to eat there. The interesting part came after waking up after the third night, my wife saw a bug in the bed, we were not sure what it was but we had an idea, after googling for bedbugs we found out we had found a bed bug, the good thing is that it seems it had not eaten. We had it on a bag and brought it down to the reception, the person in charge immediately tried to resolve the issue by asking us to pack everything which we did and left the room, when we came back at night we had another room. Unfortunately I think the other room probably had more bugs, the next night I woke up with bites in several parts of my body and the last day even with more, It has been 7 days since we left the hotel and I am still suffering the consequences with the bites, I did some research and it seems they are mite bites, it is still itching pretty bad. I know I should probably have left the hotel but I just didn't want to deal with that situation at that time.
The other room we got didn't have a mirror, didn't have the thing to put the luggage on top, and the TV remote was not working.
We also noticed they don't really vacuum the rooms, one of my kids dropped a cheerio one day and when we came back that night it was still there. The bathrooms looked clean and they always put new soap and shampoo. If we had not seen the bed bug and I didn't still had the bites, I would say it is acceptable to stay there but putting everything together I would consider other options.
Almost forgot to mention that it is very noisy at night.

Stayed here and used it as a base to Metro around Manhattan.
Good location with good views over to Manhattan. Don't expect much from the breakfasts and try and ask for a room away from the noisy elevators.
Garage down the road was great for picking up snacks and was also were a lot of cabs fuelled up so handy to grab one if you don't fancy the metro.
Walk across the Queensborough Bridge if you can, stunning.

Room Tip: Higher up the better and ask for rooms across to Manhattan.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was large, clean and well- serviced and everything worked. The subway was close and it was easy to travel to Manhattan. We found the staff civil and helpful. At their suggestion we ate at an excellent Indian restaurant. The convenience store next door was useful and the surrounding area felt safe. The only thing lacking was information in the room itself. There were two phones but no telephone directory and a folder with information about the hotel and area would have been useful. We found the breakfast satisfactory and there was always someone at hand to renew supplies.
