We booked this hotel for 2 nights while we explored Manhattan. We flew into Laguardia, and it was a quick $19 cab ride to the hotel. Once there, they let us check in early at 10:30am so we could go into the city. The 7 metro station was in site from the hotel door, but we chose to walk about 0.2 miles over a bridge to get to the E, M, R trains that brought us to all the popular downtown tourist sites. We felt safe walking to and from the metro stations.
The room was small- there was only about 1 to 1.5 feet around the beds- but it was clean and smelled fresh.The hallway did smell like smoke. It was loud at times, moreso from doors slamming than the nearby trains, but nothing that we found overly disturbing. The continental breakfast was adequate.
Overall, because of the price and ease of access to the city, we would stay here again.

There are far nicer hotels for around the same budget as the days inn Lond Island City without any of the cons....
- Burnt holes in bed sheets
- Foyer stinks so bad of insence tha it made me and my partner feel sick
- Fridge in room just plated in the middle of the walkway down one side of the bed
- Extremely small rooms...Im used to smallish rooms but when you cant even walk around the bed because there isnt space...its a little ridiculous.

And for us the worst thing was...
- No luggage storage facility...so check out was 12pm and out flight was 7:20pm...yup u guessed it we had to wait at the airport for 7 hours because they couldnt store aour luggage after checkout for a few hours. Every hotel I ahve ever been to has been able to do this for us but not the Days Inn Lond Island City.
Were the front desk staff helpful??...NO...in fact quite rude.

Just avoid..its not worth ruining your holdiay over!!
