This hotel was ok ...nothing to brag about .i don't think it was worth the price we paid, could've stayed in Manhattan.the parking lot was very small,....the best thing about this hotel was the rooftop view...unbelievable

First off everything you want to see and do is in New York City across the bridge, the hotel is location in an industrial area, but has a great view and my room was amazing! Huge bathroom with frosted glass shower and toilet area also a rectangle shaped tub. There area huge Frosted glass doors that slide in order to close or open the bathroom area. The balcony was perfect and could see all the lights and buildings of manhattan. The front desk associates where extremely helpful and friendly. There is a shuttle to take you around and an on call town car service, there isnt much to eat in walking distance. After touring all of NYC this place wash like heaven, neighborhood was quiet on a Monday night and was walking distance from the subway, the hotel sent a cab to pick me up as i didnt want to walk with my luggage at night.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor or higher facing Manhattan..in front of the elevator or to the left of it hav...

We had researched hotels for our stay in NY and found this gem, the view from the rooftop bar and restaurant are stunning at night and worth a visit even just for that. The food was great and even my very fussy, plain food eating wife enjoyed a very good menu. We had a nice room, really couldn't complain about anything to do with the hotel. The only thing that we were surprised at was when we arrived back at the hotel on the Saturday night only to find a huge queue waiting to get in to the hotel, apparently it also is very popular for the rooftop nightclub, although it wasn't a problem and it felt great watching the faces in the crowd wondering why we were walking straight in past the security staff :-)

Room Tip: It's a great hotel as long as you're out for the day and not using it as a base to keep goin...

My husband and I stayed in the Ravel hotel for 7 nights for our tenth anniversary trip in June 2014 and found it to be very good value for money. The room itself was absolutely lovely, very spacious and very quiet although we were positioned on the ground floor. The hotel was approximately 10 minutes walk from the nearest subway station and the hotel offered a regular shuttle service to the three local stations.
The views from the rooftop bar were absolutely spectacular as were the choice of cocktails, I would say that in comparison to other breakfasts we had the breakfast buffet was slightly over prices.
When booking this hotel the biggest concern was the potential travel distance between the hotel and Manhattan, I can safely say that including the walk/shuttle to the subway station it takes no longer than 20 minutes to get to central park.

Have known of The Ravel for 6 years, having enjoyed their rooftop lounge on numerous occasions. From the Long Island City side of the East River, their rooftop's lounge offers a magnificent unobstructed view of the entire East Side of Manhattan. We were doing a photo shoot nearby but had to book a hotel at last minute. Was very fortunate to have gotten an outstanding rate on an online travel site. The Ravel did not disappoint in the slightest! We thoroughly enjoyed the numerous artworks in the lobby & common areas. Their heated enclosed rooftop let us enjoy the splendor of Manhattan's skyline from a safe & warm vantage point. The complimentary "Tarocco" shower products were a real treat. Their breakfast buffet in "The Yard" is a great value at $14. The complimentary shuttle bus to the subway makes getting here carefree.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view room on the 4th or 5th floor.

The hotel staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Location not good if you there for visiting the Manhattan. Metro station a bit of walk however hotel have a bus shuttle. The nearest shop close to the nearest metro station. Reception, hall and breakfast area are nice however rooms doesn't much the same look. Bathroom and bedding clean, carpet not in a very good condition. The safe in our room didn't work. We stayed there 3 nights and couple of them we had very noisy nights. Also next door building was under the construction which was starting very early in the morning, very very noisy. On one night we planned to use a roof top bar, we went up there and we have been told there was a private event, no notice in advance for guest. I wouldn't stay there again. Overall very disappointed.

I've been to this hotel numerous times and decided to return with family. The rates are much higher than a couple years ago and there are plenty of hotels in Manhattan for cheaper. Our TV remote didn't work. We went downstairs twice for 2 new remotes which also did not work. 3 broken remotes later, we gave up. Also the wine bar has options for half glass or full glass prices, but management makes you buy a 25 dollar wine card. So it's pointless to offer a taste menu when you make pstrons purchase the whole bottle anyways. Total rip off. Parking is also very limited and this part of LIC isn't the safest block in Queens so leaving my car on the street wasn't thrilling for me.
Stay in the city and avoid the drama.
