Lucky Boy North is small Greek Cafe located on Rockaway Turpike. It is very popular with the locals. Every evening when I have passed by there are people outside waiting to be seated. I arrived early before the rush and by 18h00 the place was packed. Like a classic New York eatery, many of the patrons were greeted by name as they entered.
Only about a third of the items on the menu appeared to be Greek. The rest were classic American dishes. The starter I ordered was Feta chesse with olives. It was a large slab of feta with six olives. Enough for two. I was impressed with the quantity but not the presentation. The main course was lamb kabob. The very mild--almost flavorless. I noticed that the people around me had ordered the American dishes. Maybe I should have ordered the baby-back ribs.
