The Ain Meriem is one of the best hotels in Bizerte. The current mayor of Paris comes to stay every summer and we saw him at the hotel during our recent visit, as well as the whole PSG St-Germain football club who he had invited over. The other hotels on the Corniche are not as good as the Ain Meriem, with the possible exception of the Bizerta resort ( but I have not been there personally).

The hotel is not cheap though. We stayed in a studio, which is the cheapest room, but I would still say it was expensive. There is a different price for local Tunisians so if you have friends or relatives in town, it's a a good idea to ask for a 'locals discount'

The rooms are quite big. We had a kitchen area, and 2 sofas, and lots of storage space. The best thing about the hotel is the view of the sea from the balconies. The beach in front of the hotel is a private one, so you will usually get a parasol.

I would recommend this hotel as it's one of the best in town, but it will come at a price.
