This hotel has 3 different buildings to it. Lakefront, lakeview, and the resort lakeview. Be sure you know what you are reserving and what you are paying for otherwise you may not like what you get!
We reserved a "lakefront" room online at their website. Apparently, when we got there and checked in, the room was "sold out". Not sure how a room is suddenly sold out when I paid for it with a credit card to begin with, but it so happens that their online system is far from being real time at the hotel. The staff was nice enough to move us to our original lakefront room the next day, but we did have to spend the night at a not-so-great lake-view room that was outdated, with thin walls and not what we had in mind for a resort! We didn't have to pay for the first night so that sort of made up for it.
The lakefront rooms are newly remodeled, with private parking - if you can get a spot - and great views of lake Mirror. Each room also has its own direct access via the back sliding door to the lake, pool, and dock. The rooms This is more of a family resort, there was a lot of families with children and the pool/lakeside does get really noisy during the day. The sun bathing chairs are also taken up quickly by people who don't use them but place their belongings on them for no apparent reason!
The resort provides complimentary kayaks to enjoy on Lake Mirror, so that will save you a few bucks since other places around town charge rent on kayaks. There is no beach per se, but you could swim off the dock, the water is clean and refreshing. The main resort building is also newly remodeled with a spacious lobby and fireplace. We did not eat at any of the resort's restaurants or go to the spa, so I cannot comment on that.
