“Great food - fun waiter!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2011

We actually did not stay at this hotel but since there is no separate page for their restaurant, I am writing my review here. Our tour bus dropped us here for lunch on our way to Ouarzazate and we had one of the best lunches of our trip. We were able to order ahead of time, so the food came out maybe two minutes faster than the usual 40 minutes, born by the most outgoing waiter we've seen on this trip. He didn't speak much English but he didn't need to. He obviously enjoys his job immensely and had a great time bearing plates lined up and down his arms and even on his head. I had a fabulous omelette du fromage and had a taste of a couple of lovely tajines - the first that we've had where they didn't dumb the flavor down for a tourist's tastebuds. A lovely blend of Moroccan spices including cinnamon. The bread came with an olive paste that was a true palette pleaser. The decor is kitschy but with the great food it makes you feel like you are truly enjoying a Moroccan meal in an authentic setting.

We spent 1 night on a tour. The hotel is nice with a beautiful swimming pool and terrace. The staff is very friendly. The room was big with a big balcony with view on the swimming pool. Furniture and bathroom is a bit old but clean. Very quiet at night and no mosque to wake you at 5 am! Diner was tasty and breakfast very good.

The hotel itself has a lot of good photography opportunities. Didn’t swim but it does have a nice pool area for a relaxing time. Not too far from central town but in a quieter and more modern location.

We were coming from a wonderful hotel in Ait Ben Haddou and coming here was a disappointment after basing our choice on the website. Typical case where website looks way better than reality. The suite is not as nice as on the website photo, no Moroccan style but a pretty worn down leather sofa with two leather seats. Bathroom was clean but suffering from holes in wall and some broken tiles. Food was also a disappointment as was the wine. Not super bad, but just extremely average. Right, Scottish doodle bag music all night too. It's a kitchy place, but that can be fun. Overall, this is a place where you can stay for a night if you need a place to stay. However, there are many, many better places in Morocco, both hotel and food wise. Don't get misled by the website, this is not a great hotel, and hence one should not pay for a great hotel.

A pleasant hotel in Tinerhir. It’s in the Kasbah style which is quite pretty and it has good common areas and a large pool with terrace around. The rooms are pleasant, a decent size and peaceful for a decent night’s sleep. My friend’s room though had a posh bathroom suite in it with a toilet bowl that was larger than normal but they had installed a normal sized toilet seat which was odd. The food was reasonable but not great for the cost, had better for less elsewhere. The staff were generally OK but not exceptional given that I think the hotel aims for a higher standard. There isn’t much in the way of views really as the hotel is in the valley just off the main road. It’s fine though and reasonably handy for getting to Todra Gorge.

My girlfriend and I booked the best suite well in advance of our trip via e-mail. The manager confirmed the reservation by e-mail. After a day of driving through the desert we arrived at this hotel. We arrived at the hotel exhausted, hungry and in desperate need of a shower. When we checked in to reception we were told they had given our suite to the owner's family. No apology or recompense was offered, and we were shown to a standard room which supposedly had air-con. When we got in we found 2 dilapidated single beds with dirty sheets, dead insects, broken air-conditioning unit (It was well in excess of 100 degrees outside), hair riddled dirty bathroom and generally unpleasant smell. My girlfriend burst in to tears, I went down to complain and was just met with a shrug and a blank stare. We decided to take our chances and find somewhere else.. luckily they had space at the hotel kenzi on the top of the hill where we were really looked after given our ordeal. They gave us a nice suite at a reduced price. Stay away from Lamrani, the place and the staff were horrible!
