Beautifully appointed and extremely well kept! Very clean!
Gene and Linda were very hospitable! The breakfast was delicious, well prepared and offered great variety! The location was 20 minutes from Lake George and 20 minutes from Saratoga! Excellent value!

We loved our stay at the Lamplight Inn.
Linda and Gene were great hosts (Gene's breakfasts are amazing!)
The women who served in the morning were gracious and friendly too.

Everyone at the inn is friendly and helpful and can guide you to experience the region at its best! The location was terrific and allowed my sister and I to do some fun day trips to see Lake George, to have lunch at the beautiful Sagamore Resort, to take a lake cruise, to attend a rodeo, a wine tasting, shopping, and on the way home a trip to Saratoga. You must go to the Hyde Museum nearby as it is a hidden gem with its Amazingly historical and valuable art.

The inn's porch is so enjoyable for an evening glass of wine or early morning coffee. Walk to the restaurant nearby, it has great food, reasonable prices and a view of the rushing whitewater of the river.

The innkeepers really make it so easy as they offer wine or drinks or other nice accoutrements to make your stay enjoyable and easy.

We hope to return to the Lamplight again.

Room Tip: We stayed at the Brookside Cottage which was perfect for us with 2 bedrooms and two baths! Yet the...

My wife and I wanted to do something special for our first anniversary. I surprised her by booking a room at the Lamplighter Inn. At first, I wasn't sure how this would all go over. My wife grew up a few streets over from the B&B and I thought that she would want to go someplace more "adventurous." Boy was I wrong. She loved it! The room was very large, modern, and comfortable yet still retained the feel of being in the Adirondacks. The Jacuzzi with the B&B branded bath salts became the center point of our evening. Breakfast was phenomenal. We were greeted by the nicest people: Linda, Gene, and Sally and we really enjoyed their conversation between bites of French toast. It was a very romantic weekend. The wife asked if we can come back next year!

Room Tip: Saratoga Room was a blast! The bed is so big, you both can sprawl out!

We stayed here for one night and wished we had booked a second night. We were greeted by Gene and Linda and welcomed into their home. Our room (Lilac Room) was so beautifully decorated with amazing attention to every detail and very very clean. The jacuzzi was a great addition which we used as well. The breakfast was delicious with several options - the fresh muffins were amazing. The well maintained grounds provided a great path to take a nice walk through the woods - i got a great photo through the trees. We arrived about noon and wanted to go to the small beach on Lake Luzerne - which was only about a 5 minute walk from the Lamplight Inn B&B. Linda even provided beach towels for us!! The proximity to Lake George was a factor in staying here. Lake George is so easy to get to from the Lamplight and it is only about 15 minutes. We had a great time and if you are taking the NYS Thruway (87) on the way home ask Linda for a copy of the hand written shortcut map she has photo copies of. It probably saved at least 20 miles. We highly recommend the Lamplight Inn B&B.

I decided to stay at the Lamplight Inn in Lake Luzerne due to its proximity to Lake George (15 minutes) and Saratoga Springs (30 minutes).

I also wanted something quiet, with a hot tub, and a porch and The Lamplight inn was a perfect match. We reserved the “White Birch” room in the back house and it was very nicely decorated and super clean. The size of the room was much larger than I anticipated, even the property and grounds were larger and nicer than the photos on the website showed.

It was my first wedding anniversary and was concerned over everything. Gene and Linda, who own and run the Lamplight Inn were extremely warm and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing in addition to the two ladies who serve you. Although there were plenty of other guests Gene and Linda always found time to have a chat with you. there are plenty of couches in the main room and it was nice seeing how Gene and Linda documented the improvements on the house through the years.

I have never stayed at a B&B but from now on, my husband and I will only stay at B&B’s due to the hospitality we encountered.

Side note: Something accidentally broke in our room, and Linda felt that we had worried ourselves sick, she sent over a bottle of wine and two wine glasses with their logos on them to make us feel happy.

The Lamplight Inn nestled in the heart of Lake Luzerne is an Adirondack jewel. Charming accommodations, scrumptious breakfasts and a staff that makes you feel like a member of the family. Innkeepers Gene and Linda certainly know how to do it right. We've lost track of the number of times we've stayed at the Lamplight. We try to visit once a year and each visit is a delight.

Room Tip: We usually stay for five or more nights each visit and find rooms if the Carriage House perfect for...
