“Excellent location and breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2010

I'm from the area and knew things get quiet in Lake George in October, so choices of hotels are limited. Since I'd been back, this property is new to me, so I booked it based on the reviews here at TA.

Price was okay - higher than I'd expect but its a chain with little flexibility I guess. The beds are Serta and really hard. I'd have a tough time here for a week, but for a night, it was fine. The rooms are dated (for a newer property??) - the heater wasn't efficient but worked well enough. The bathroom was clean. The furniture is dated with tube TV that due to the placement of the TV and bed, only one side of the bed could see the TV. Not that we came here for TV, but just a comment. A rare thing - they give a small dose of hair conditioner! As a woman, I'd learned long ago to travel with conditioner as hotels only give cheap shampoo.

The room had a king bed and a small fridge! The small fridge is always a bonus.

The breakfast was extensive. The waffles as always are great. Coffee, juice, boiled eggs, yogurts, cereals. Its a big room and a large spread.

Decent stay, nothing memorable but everyone was really nice and friendly.

They do have a computer in the lobby for folks without a computer with them. Free WiFi! Nice feature.

Location perfect for walking into the village, lake or Fort William Henry. Knowing the area, this property is in better condition than a lot of the properties so I do recommend it.

Visiting LG for the first time in many years, I was a bit leery of picking from the many "Mom & Pop" motels in the area. Good reviews or not, I decided to stay with a reputable large chain for our weekend. Here, Quality Inn=great selection. Comfortable; squeeky clean and (of course, we were there in the "off season") quiet. Within walking distance to the hub of all activity in LG. The innkeepers: warm, welcoming, courteous, friendly and customer-centric. An extra bonus is an excellent continental breakfast set-up each morning, featuring waffles made to order. Figure on saving the cost of a breakfast each day--not to mention the convenience. Overall--a good choice.

Once again, we've enjoyed our stay at the Quality Inn. We come up almost every year for the Balloon Fest, and stay here every time. It might be a litle bit of a drive to Glens Falls for the balloons, but it's so convenient to all the activity going on near the lake. Everything we love to do while visiting is within walking distance (lake cruises, shopping, and there are so many fine places to choose from for dining). And the staff are very welcoming and always very pleasant. On our most recent visit, we requested an adjoining room, and it worked out very well. The Continental breakfast that's offered always has something for everyone. When we're making reservations for the Lake George area, there's no questioning where we'll be staying - Quality Inn!

Travelling through the area, we stayed at this motel to be near the Adirondack brew pub - which was closed as tight as a drum in spite of its advertising that it is open 7 days a week.

The motel is certainly clean and attractive looking. I used the gym (which was good) but it was too cold for the pool. The room was spacious enough, and the shower was good. I had asked for a room with a kingsize bed, which was very uncomfortable. It seemed to have a mattress cover made of chain-mail which did not fit very well and buckled in places creating hard ridges. Time to scrap the mattress covers, Quality Inn. Perhaps we were being punished for using the Senior Rate.

There were few other people staying there, so I thought the rate was rather high for the low low low season. I doubt that more than half a dozen rooms were occupied. The wireless internet access was a bit dicey.

The breakfast was fine, and the location was OK. If I went back to Lake George I think I'd stay elsewhere, though.

This was a nice surprise. The motel looks exactly like its website pictures, very clean and convenient. The breakfast was included in the reasonable price (be sure to tell them if you have AAA or AARP for the discount) and was good and basic. Went off-season so a lot in LG Village was closed, but very friendly staff tried hard to help us find places to go. Very pretty pool area. Would stay again.

Had a wonderful time in Lake George, if only for a few days. Hotel location was perfect, close to village but not in the middle of the crowds. All rooms face the courtyard pool and are spacious and comfortable. Full breakfast is included with plenty of choices.....even fresh made waffles, served in a spacious room not in the hotel lobby. Would absolutely go back again

Great place to stay in Lake George, right in the middle of all the action and an easy walk to many restaurants and activities. The Continental Breakfast could have been better, the lady that looks after the room was annoying.
