“Great Accommodation!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2006

We chose Quality Inn at Lake George because of all the great reviews. They were right on. We usually stay at B & B,s but the only ones open in Nov. were very pricey. We decided to stay the night at Quality Inn and were very satisfied. The premises are immaculate and quite comfortable. Nice new exercise room. Breakfast room was well stocked for continental breakfast (included with stay).
We were right in the Village so we walked around town. The lake and setting was beautiful but the stores were dumpy and not inviting. We went south to Glens Falls for dinner at the Logjam Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with the excellent beef. Our dining experience was most enjoyable and reasonable.

We highly recommend the Quality Inn , Lake George and the Logjam Restaurant. in Glens Falls.

This motel was a very good choice in the Lake George Village area. The property is very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. Looking around the strip, I would say that the Quality Inn is the most attractive motel property.

I really have no complaints but could not give 5 stars to any motel in a tourist strip area. Maybe glass drinking glasses and coffee cups instead of a plastic and styrofoam would be a nice upgrade.

Would stay there again if visiting Lake George.

  • Liked — convenient, clean, price ($80)
  • Disliked — plastic drinking cups

I really liked this place. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The location is really nice. It is right across from the fort. Plus, jsut a few blocks from main downtown. The rooms were in nice shape and very clean. I like that the sink was outside the bathroom area. I would go back here. The breakfast was mostly donuts and danish. But hte little old lady serving coffee was a nice touch.

My wife , daugter and I just spent the wk in Vt. and on the way home spent three days in Lake George. The hotel is within walking distance of the village which was great. The room was very clean and staff very nice.My only complaint is the strong odor from the pine sol cleaner they use.We left the window slightly open with the fan running while we were out for the day but the smell was still noticible when we returned. The pool is heated and clean but closes a dusk so we didnt get to enjoy it much because we were out most of the day.It would of been nice to relax at the pool after dinner .We would consider staying there again next year.Btw we ate at the Barnsider and the Adirondick restaurant both pretty good family style restaurants and very close to hotel.

We have stayed at Lake George 4 times and have never had such a beautiful place to stay. The staff is helpful, the rooms are very clean, the pool area was gorgeous and the continental breakfast was better than we had hoped. All in all it was an enjoyable visit and would stay nowhere else on our next trip.

This is a normal 3 star hotel, pretty good one.
Staff (esp. Debbie) was very friendly and useful answering our questions.
But: 1) $162/night for a small room even on July4 is too high;
2) the room had a strong chemical smell
3) there was a lot of clorine in the pool.
I would try another hotel next time.

We just went for the balloon/blues/september festivals this past weekend, and we stayed at the Quality Inn in Lake George. We were very pleasantly surprised. It's the prettiest hotel when you're driving down Canada Street. The place was very clean (I'm extremely picky when it comes to that, so that says a LOT)!! We loved that it was so close to everything, we were able to walk to most places. The lake is very beautiful, lots of photo ops!

The only problem we had at the hotel was the toilet, we had to call twice to get it fixed. But they were quick to come fix it. Oh, the only other thing is the very strong smell of the cleaning agent that they use, I didn't like the smell of it, so I'll be recommending that they use bleach or something else that doesn't smell as stale.

We recommend George's Restaurant for their amazingly tender prime rib! It's not a looker, but the place makes such a GREAT prime rib!! YUM! We loved the Adirondack Pub & Brewery! Great bear and very good sandwhiches! The Mexican restraurant, SJ Garcias, was terrible, Taco Bell tastes better and is $50 cheaper!

We would definitely stay there again if we went back to Lake George!
